Like a dream haphazardly shared among traveling friends during a casual social encounter one late evening in the suburbs of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

A flurry of questions followed, a torrent of rebuttals came under the crushing weight of the reality and enormity of the challenge…and there it was, the definition of adventure, ‘Steppes To The West’ was born. An epic attempt to journey more than 12,000kms, with ten camels from the heart of Mongolia to Europe. Tracing the ancient Silk Road down through Asia, the old Persian and Ottoman empires through the ancient gateway to Europe. Our mission is to make this a reality, and get the team and the animals to the other side.

-New off-season tourism routes and possibilities.
-Introducing the Mongolian camel culture to International crowds.
-Showing the younger generation, how to work in teams, and what humans are capable of in any difficult conditions.
-supporting the herders who have been living nomadic life styles for generations.
-Women empowerment, and never giving up on yourself.
-Producing a very interesting and educational reality show for Earthlings 😛
-One of the major goals is also to register the Mongolian Bactrians into the UNESCO World heritage.
