It's time to say goodbye and thank you...👋🏼🙏 These 4 years have been full of incredible encounters, learning, sharing and growing! I'm sad to say Anoli Tours is closing in its current form by the end of the month. I will be moving on to other challenges as an employee but will still continue providing guiding services as a micro entrepreneur. The van tours are ending though! A huge thanks to all my amazing guests for supporting me !

The late Josephine Baker has received one of France's highest honors! The entertainer and civil rights activist has been inducted into the French Pantheon, a mausoleum housing the country's heroes. She is the first Black woman the sixth woman overall in the Pantheon. Josephine Baker joins: Marie Curie, Geneviève de Gaulle-Anthonioz, Germaine Tillion, Sophie Berthelot, and Simone Veil.

Today marks the beginning of the "insurrection of the south" in where the recently freed people of the island rose against injustice. The central figure of the revolt was a young girl called Lumina Sophie who was sent to a penal colony in French Guyana where she perished. Discover her story in French below⬇ 🇫🇷

Bonjour ! Some good news to start the week ✨🌈

- Lockdown has been relaxed and from today restaurants, shops etc are opening and beaches 🏖 can be accessed for "dynamic activities" (read no sunbathing but swimming and sports OK)

- Curfew is still in place from 7pm to 5 am and movement is resticted to a 10km radius

-UNESCO has added Martinique to its list of Biosphere Reserves🥳. The status is an acknowledgement to the island's rich biodiversity, one of the world's 35 biodiversity hotspots with many endemic plants and animals.

Long time no news... 🌴 Pic from one of our last time at the beach as they're now off-limits🏖 Still here and trying to stay positive though the situation isn't easy. Martinique is currently in lockdown since the end of July and the situation in the hospital is very difficult. School's are postponing opening and the lockdown is to continue at least until September 16th. Hope you all are safe and healthy! ☀

Sinaï beach definitely has that castaway vibe to it 🌴🌴 Set at the island's northernmost point it faces Dominica, visible on a clear day. Grand-Rivière is a peaceful & isolated fishing town surrounded by gorgeous jungle cliffs. The town is also the starting (or finishing) point of a legendary 6-hour hike through the dense topical forest taking you to the Caribbean coast. 🚶🏽‍♀️🚶🏽
