whole of Malta and Gozo or simply laze and watch the ferries and yachts cross the glittering ocean. There is a one bedroom, fully equipped modern kitchen, full bathroom, washing machine, has satellite TV and wifi connections, a sun filled lounge and two terraces, the front overlooking the Gozo Channel and Mgarr harbour, and the other overlooking the pool area

The complex is new, but has been cleverly designed to match the traditional Maltese architecture with warm honey coloured limestone walls and brightly coloured balconies. The gated complex has a swimming pool, sunbathing area and elevators serve all the floors.

Weather Update for 18+19/11/2016

Two troughs of low pressure over the central Mediterranean will maintain current instability till early on Sunday 20th. The steady light to moderate rainfall will persist for much of today. Later on, thunderstorms will become possible as well. These will be heavy and also possibly with small hail and blustery winds. The chance for these is greatest after 13:00 on Friday 18th. The weather until late on Saturday 19th will be characterized by episodes of light to moderate rainfall, with some heavy thunderstorms that may be with hail and blustery winds at times. The rainfall will continue to be very widespread. All areas of the Maltese Islands should receive a generous amount of precipitation. Total rainfall amounts till late on Saturday 19th may reach over 50 mm in places. This weather is typical of autumn. Still, you should keep an eye out for some hazards. The main hazards will be flooding in the usual low-lying areas, gale-force wind gusts and cloud-to-ground lightning. We advise people who have boats along the south-west coast (Dwejra, Xlendi, Cirkewwa, Paradise Bay, Anchor Bay, Għajn Tuffieħa Bay, Golden Bay, Ġnejna Bay and Wied iż-Żurrieq) to remove them, mainly as a pre-caution for swell waves. The situation will be at its worst in the morning on Saturday 19th. The weather starts improving early on Sunday 20th. Further updates will be issued whenever necessary.

Saw the water spout right in front of us from our apartment.

A few minutes ago over Xatt l-Aħmar. The funnel then moved over land for a few minutes, presumably causing some damage. A heavy rain shower occurred over parts of Gozo.

A cold front will move across the central Mediterranean later on today, bringing a few showers, possibly briefly heavy and thundery at times. This will be the most realistic chance of rain this week, as much of the rain in the coming days will affect Sicily. The highest chance of rain is between 13:00 and 22:00. Between 5 mm and 15 mm of rain are possible. Total rainfall amounts will vary a lot across short distances.

Current weather is typical of late spring. A strong southeasterly wind is currently blowing across the Maltese Islands, as a result of the difference between high pressure over the eastern Mediterranean and a low pressure system over the Gulf of Genoa. The South-east wind will continue blowing at Force 5/6 occasionally 7 till Saturday morning, before decreasing by evening and turning North-west. This is creating rough seas along the south-east coast of the Maltese Islands. Some light rain is also possible during this time. Any rain will deposit fine sand.
