I would like to congratulate all concerned with the organisation of the highly successful FIRA/AER European Rugby Annual Congress, which has just been held in Malta.

Malta Rugby Football Union president Martin Galea, Pierre Azzopardi of Sundreams Travel and Henry Vella-Galea of the Maltese Tourism Authority organised and executed an excellent event.

Over 70 delegates from all over Europe attended to enjoy the ideal mixture of hard business and social interaction so typical of the rugby ethos, capped by most enjoyable touristic hosting.

The latter will no doubt have made a lasting impression on all the delegates involved, thus benefitting the Maltese economy and international reputation.
