The Malta Rugby 7s event is scheduled for the 17th till the 20th Feb 2023. We look forward to hosting yet another great event with many visiting teams from all around Europe. A great weekend of rugby and fun for the Rolls Royce RFC on their first tour in Malta. On Saturday they played Wolves RFC in a very well balanced and entertaining game with 11 tries with Rolls Royce RFC scoring the winning try just before the final whistle. The 3rd half was well attended by both teams, with games using alongs and a great rugby atmosphere.

This weekend we are hosting the Malta Women's 7s tournament down at Marsa. We have 4 teams coming from abroad, Zürich Valkyries (2 teams), Crazy Cook & Les Pandettes this year and they will be competing with 2 local teams, Malta Barbarians and Malta Pirates. The schedule is set and the teams will have 2 days of rugby between 9am and 1pm on Saturday and between 10am and 2pm on Sunday.

Come and join the fun and support your favourite team. Good luck to all players and may you all have a wonderful weekend full of rugby and social fun.

Worcester Wanderers RFC played in the Malta Rugby Tournament in May 2015.We arranged the air flights ourselves

but everything else on Malta was organized by Sundreams Travel and went like clockwork.

We stayed at the Alexandra in St Julians and it is an ideal rugby hotel with understanding management, a poolside

bar(ideal for courts) and best of all Malta’s top nightclubs and bars just a short stroll up the street--do not expect

your team back before dawn.

There were two other English teams and two Maltese teams in the tournament played on a pitch which took a stud.

It was competitive without being over the top for the end of season. We did win the tournament with half the lads

having played Midlands 1 and the other half a mixture from our remaining sides.

What else? Well great restaurants for a start and we recommend the boat trip to Gozo and Comino--

50 Euros including good food and beer and wine all day--take a pullover--it gets draughty later.

throughout and we would have no hesitation in using his company in the future.
