The company is registered with the Malta Tourism Authority and is bound by the rigorous rules imposed on destination management companies in Malta to ensure that tourists who visit the i

SPR is involved in three main activities – logistical help to teams visiting the island for training camps, event organisation and waterpolo camps with some of the biggest names in world waterpolo. Now that the benefits of warm weather training are understood and appreciated by many coaches, Malta is fast becoming a favourite destination for teams preparing for major championships. We at SPR will take care of all your land arrangements – hotels, food, facilities, transport and round the clock assistance. Event Organisation
For many years SPR has been organising youth waterpolo tournaments with the participation of teams from all over Europe while the Gozo – Malta swim held every July has grown into an annual event with participants from all over the world. Waterpolo Camps
SPR is partner in four leading waterpolo camps with some of the top names in World and European waterpolo. Marco Risso is one of the leading coaches in Italy while Olympic gold medallist Tamas Marcz is now also making a name for himself as a top quality coach after a glittering career as a player. The Marcz Waterpolo brand also organises waterpolo camps in conjunction with Nike, the only of their type outside the USA.

Last BWPL weekend at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, City Of Sheffield Waterpolo welcomed Richard Micalef and his son Paul, who took in matches from British Water Polo League, including a 17-15 win for the Sheffield Men’s A team. The Women’s section had a training camp just over a year ago in beautiful Malta, expertly organised by Richard and SPR Travel Malta. It was the start of a beautiful relationship, with the COS Junior section (over 40 players) being looked after by SPR Travel Malta a couple of months ago, and enjoying a wonderful trip and training camp in sunny Malta ☀️

Richard and SPR travel Malta have very kindly sponsored both the Womens A team and a Girls Junior squad bound for the EU Nations next month.
Richard and his company have also generously donated a set of shirts to the Women’s A team for this season.

Waterpolo Camps

SPR is a partner in multiple leading waterpolo camps with some of the top names in World and European waterpolo.

Risso Waterpolo Camp is hosted by Marco Risso, one of the leading coaches in Italy.

Pallanuoto and English Camp is hosted by Marco ‘Gu’ Baldineti, one of the leading coaches in Europe, and Andrea Razzi and top Italian player.

Elite Waterpolo Camp is hosted by Matteo Aicardi, Valentino Gallo, and Stefano Luongo, three Italian national team players (who also happen to be world champions).

SPR Waterpolo Camp is also hosted by Marco Risso, with a little help from a few world class players.

EEWPC is our top of the range training camp. Hosted by three top international coaches and a whole roster of world class players, this camp includes everything from land training to nutrition and sports psychology sessions. The best prepartion possible for every young athlete.

Tamas Marcz Waterpolo Camp is hosted by Tamas Marcz, the current Hungarian national team coach and olympic legend.

The Marcz Waterpolo brand also organises waterpolo camps in conjunction with Nike, the only of their type outside the USA.
