The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting marketing and sales initiatives to promote our tourism services. Responsibilities
Marketing Support: assist in the development and ex*****on of marketing campaigns. Will also need to create content for various marketing channels, including social media.
Sales: you will be expected to assist in the preparation of sales presentations and materials for client meetings and generally support the sales team in reaching revenue targets, while also setting and attending meetings with clients.
CRM: a key role will be to support and maintain the company’s CRM
Admin and Market Research: general admin duties and market research to identify new trends, developments, and opportunities, are crucial to the success of the division

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team

This is an excellent career position for a dynamic and results-oriented sales professional with a passion for the tourism industry. The selected candidate will spearhead the Marketing & Sales efforts of SMS in incoming tourism to Malta.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will lead a small sales team to seek new business, cultivate current leads and grow business from current contacts. Your main objective will be to develop and implement effective marketing and sales strategies and create unique client experiences to achieve business objectives. This is a high-impact role that requires proven sales experience in incoming tourism together with good communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: identify, develop, and implement strategic plans to promote the company’s services towards current and new, traditional, and dynamic tour operators, group business and MICE
Marketing and Promotion: plan and execute effective b2b marketing campaigns. Establish partnerships with trade partners to enhance promotional efforts.
Product development: identify, support, and manage the development of new product offers.
Leadership: lead and motivate the Inbound Tourism team to reach targets and objectives. Facilitate ongoing liaison with other managers within the company and prepare regular reports to the board.

Qualifications and skills.
Proven track record of success in marketing and sales in tourism at a DMC or a hotel
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrate an ability to lead a sales team to achieve targets.
Full flexibility to travel as and when required.
Proficient in using key software and CRM systems.

This is one of Malta's biggest annual arts and culture festivals. The event lights up the Valletta cityscape with a spectacular celebration that is open to the public free of charge, and goes on well into the night.

The Rolex Middle Sea Race, described by participants themselves as ‘the most beautiful racecourse in the world’, starts from Valletta’s Grand Harbour on 21st October.
