Earlier this year, we hosted a group of international students for a 4-day educational programme in Malta. This trip was an immersive experience that highlighted the history of the Maltese Islands and their role in pivotal events that shaped European culture, from the Great Siege of 1565 to the Second World War and beyond.
The trip also included organised talks and lectures, thanks to Dr Viviana Premazzi, who co-ordinated the Intercultural Communication class, Charlo Bonnici – Head of Marketing and Communication at Vassallo Group – who hosted the Business Writing class and Dr Martin Zammit, Papas of the Greek-Catholic Church who hosted a session about the Religions of the West. We also collaborated with Prof. Alan Deidun and Dr Adam Gauci to organise Oceanography Field Classes.
