Day4 YTC ASSISI PILGRIMAGE OCTOBER 2024 - The day began with a climb to the hermitage of St. Francis, Carceri. We explored the various cells and prayer spaces of this sacred monastery, surrounded by the enchanting beauty of nature. Mass was celebrated by Fr. Karm Debattista MSSP, who captured the essence of Franciscan spirituality and its relevance to our daily lives.
From the heights of Carceri, we descended to the medieval town of Spello. Its narrow streets, lined with homes beautifully adorned with flowers, created a picturesque setting. The afternoon highlights included visits to the town's stunning churches and the impressive Museum of Mosaics.

Day3 YTC ASSISI PILGRIMAGE OCTOBER 2024 - Our day excursion to Perugia began with a guided tour of the underground city, where we uncovered fascinating history hidden beneath the streets. Afterward, we wandered through the vibrant main streets, visiting iconic landmarks and soaking in the city’s charm.
A highlight of the day was our stop at the Perugina outlet, where we indulged in some delicious chocolate treats. Many of us felt like kids again on the quaint carousels, enjoying a moment of pure joy.
We concluded our adventure with mass, where Fr. Karm Debattista offered an inspirational reflection, leaving us with thoughtful insights to carry home. Overall, it was a day filled with discovery, sweetness, and spiritual enrichment.

Day2 YTC ASSISI PILGRIMAGE OCTOBER 2024 – The day began early at San Damiano, where Fr. Karm Debattista celebrated mass in Maltese. This was followed by a tour of the small monastery, including a visit to the site where Santa Chiara passed away. The group then enjoyed a scenic walk up to the city square, where they had some free time for exploration and lunch. Afterwards, they continued their journey, climbing further to Rocca Maggiore, passing by Chiesa Nuova and San Ruffino’s Cathedral along the way. At the hilltop, everyone took a moment to soak in the breath-taking views, while the more adventurous members of the group explored within fort's walls.

Day1 YTC ASSISI PILGRIMAGE OCTOBER 2024 - Fr. Karm Debattista, MSSP, celebrated a Maltese Mass at the Basilica of Santa Chiara in Assisi, followed by a visit to the Cross of St. Francis, originally from San Damiano. Afterward, the group enjoyed a leisurely walk to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where they visited the tomb of Carlo Acutis and attended an insightful presentation on the life and passion of this extraordinary young saint. Following some free time for lunch in Piazza del Comune, the group gathered in the afternoon for an informative presentation on the Basilica of St. Francis before exploring its three-tiered structure. The day concluded with a peaceful recitation of the Canticle of St. Francis as they watched the sun set.

YTC ASSISI PILGRIMAGE OCTOBER 2024. From October 21st to 25th, we had the pleasure of hosting 23 pilgrims on a journey to Assisi, led by Fr. Karm Debattista MSSP as our spiritual guide. It was an incredible experience, immersed in the timeless beauty of Umbria's landscapes and the mystical charm of Assisi, the medieval city and home of St. Francis, and other nearby locations (Perugia, Spello and Marmore Waterfalls). Throughout our days together, we found nourishment in the tranquility, beauty, and spirituality that made this pilgrimage a truly unforgettable and meaningful experience.

YTC Travel -Jubilate Deo Choir Tour, September 2024, to Vienna and Salzburg, Austria.

YTC is proud to have organised the travel arrangements, accommodation, and venues for the choir’s remarkable performances at the Votiv Church and St. Peter’s Church in Vienna, as well as Salzburg Cathedral. Their final tour at Konigssee, Germany provided the perfect end to their journey before returning to Malta.
