Heritage in the form of Kuanfu-Tea which is Mauritian tea grew, prepared and presented using

Chinese ‘savoir-faire’. Kuanfu Investment (Mauritius) Co Ltd uses a Chinese brand name and a

Mauritian logo to market its product. The picture of the Dodo bird is the main emblem of

Kuanfu-Tea thus connoting the tea’s hybrid Mauritian- Chinese nature and uniqueness in the

world. Tea is an exclusive cultural product which is likely to enjoy a monopolistic or oligopolistic

market position thus potentially making the Grand Bay La Croisette Shopping Mall as the

only place where several variances of such tea, for all tastes and at all prices, will be

available. The concept of a Kuanfu-Tea shop does not limit itself to the sale of tea. It seeks

to draw attention upon the way tea is served and consumed in China. It also nurtures the

need to showcase the historical, cultural and social value of tea. Kuanfu-Tea shop shall be a

place of cosmopolitan intermingling, cultural discovery and relaxation. The Company intends to present four types of tea namely black tea, green tea, oolong tea

and tea cake (compressed tea leaves in the form of a round-shaped cake- very high in

quality and price). Each type of tea ought to be packaged and presented in forty different

styles. Kuanfu-Tea shop also seeks to display and sell tea cups available in two hundred

different designs. Chinese crafts and souvenirs may also form part of the products’ stock. The Company’s first locale is situated at ground floor, large enough in size and beautifully

interior to conquer the attention of each visitor! The company also lobbies Chinese people

and from all over the world to visit the island and experience a unique twist of Chinese

culture in Mauritius; such circumstances are likely to increase the number of Chinese and

other tourists visiting the Grand Bay La Croisette Commercial Centre over a given period of time. Drinking tea has not only enriched our material life it has even enhanced our spiritual sphere. In

modern times, people have slowly understood that the original purpose of drinking tea is for

health. But in our hectic actual life, apart from seeking health, drinking tea still has some quite

important meaning. Hailun Kuanfu

has come up with the project of bringing value to the consumption of tea. There are people who

prize tea as their own life and are prepared to study the art of taking or making tea and among

them are our company’s staff. We are on the continual move towards bringing the black tea to

its real value. We have opened the Kuanfu tea Shop since the 18th September 2015 to show

every visitor the appropriate method to brew and drink the tea. Our team of Kuanfu tea shop at

La Croisette comprises three salesgirls and a shop supervisor cm cashier. Our office situated at Port Louis handles all the administrative duties providing the full

support to the Kuanfu tea shop team. Our Port Louis office, situated at IKS Building, Marine

Road Port – Louis is a well-established private body dealing with the Import & Export of

readymade goods and the production of the tea. Our Port Louis office comprises of a team

of well experienced staff precisely the top five individuals working with the vision of bringing

capital interest to the kuanfu – tea shop and making the dream of our director, Mr. Kuanfu a

reality!
