"Endurance Abandoned" October 27th, 1915
The launch event for the Endurance book co-written by Nico Vincent and John Shears brought the legendary past to life. Hosted in Cambridge's Scott Polar Research Institute, the place is deeply tied to polar exploration. Did you know that it’s here that two priceless relics of Shackleton’s historic expedition are preserved?

📜 Captain Worsley’s original logbook, opened to the fateful day of the ship's abandonment.

🪵 The Endurance spar – the only piece of Shackleton’s ship that didn’t remain in the icy depths of the Weddell Sea, but one that also lived a hundred life.
These relics served as a powerful connection between the mythic past and modern-day exploration.

🌊 A journey from loss to discovery, from survival to legacy.

📽️ What a night to remember! Last Tuesday, we were invited by the deputy Jimmy Pahun at the stunning Assemblée nationale. We unveiled Endurance, the documentary capturing the awe-inspiring discovery of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s legendary shipwreck—lost beneath Antarctic ice for over a century. 🚢

The evening was a perfect blend of history and celebration: cocktails, an inspiring screening, and a thought-provoking debate with Nicolas Vincent and Dr. John Shears, sharing the epic story behind this groundbreaking expedition.

With the invaluable support of the Falkland Maritime Heritage Trust, we celebrated resilience, exploration, and the enduring spirit of discovery.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this incredible event! 🥂

❄️ What if we told you that the Endurance Companion Book is now part of the same collection as the works of legendary explorers like Shackleton and Scott? Here’s the story:

Peter Lund, Head Librarian at the Scott Polar Research Institute, recently received a signed copy of our book, and we couldn’t be prouder. He held up a sheet of paper showing the official index number, which means our book will sit right alongside the greatest names in Antarctic exploration as Amundsen, Scott or...Shackleton! It’s a humbling recognition of the hard Team work, passion, and expertise that went into creating this book. 📚

But this isn’t just about Dr. John Shears or Nicolas Vincent. It’s about the collective effort of every member of the Deep Ocean Search team and all Endurance22 Expedition team. From the research to the dives, and all the way to this prestigious moment, we are all a part of this incredible achievement.

It’s a reminder that history is still being made—and we’re honored to be a part of it.
