Saajid Rabbani, affectionately known as Saajid, is the Head of Finance at Skytours and an invaluable member of the team. With a career that began in 2015, Saajid’s journey in the finance world is a testament to his dedication, adaptability, and passion for growth. He started his career as an Account Assistant in Sri Lanka, later moving to Qatar in 2017, where he worked as an Assistant Accountant at Hamad International Airport. In 2017, he moved to the Maldives, where he first joined Hawks Private and then transitioned to Skytours as a Senior Accountant. His expertise and love for accounting culminated in his promotion to Head of Finance in 2023.

Known for his goal-oriented mindset and kind nature, Saajid is both a quick learner and a supportive leader. His leadership style is a mix of delegative and transformational, encouraging growth, fostering teamwork, and ensuring success. His colleagues describe him as a funny, optimistic “boss” who motivates others to achieve their best. Saajid’s passion for learning is evident through his active engagement with educational content on platforms like LinkedIn and YouTube, which he uses to enhance his skills and knowledge.

Saajid’s expertise in aviation accounts has shaped his current role, where he oversees strategic planning, financial forecasting, and trend analysis. His attention to detail ensures that payments are processed on time and that the company’s finances are well-managed. Looking ahead, Saajid is committed to Skytours’ continued success, aiming to drive business growth and high-value opportunities. In the next three years, he envisions himself further contributing to the company’s expansion and pursuing his goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Outside of work, Saajid values teamwork and motivation, with fond memories of Skytours’ Maafushi trip and Maahefun 2024. He encourages aspiring finance professionals to stay curious, seek education, and embrace experience as a key teacher.
