The clumsy weather on the beach

As the name itself implies, it is a man made beach and is a haven for the local people as well as foreigners. A long stretch of land reclaimed from the sea forms the beach. Specially made swimming area is available and is a favorite haunt of the people of Male' for sea bathing. Since it is an open space there are certain restrictions in using swimwear. Cafe' and restaurants are available for the visitors. It is also a place of social gathering where carnivals and shows and concerts are held. There are also facilities for certain sports.
