Hut of Hope is ground zero for YWAM Victoria falls community development program in Zimbabwe. It was base number 6 on our teams trip. We were just passing though for a 30min stop, but the media team still managed to quickly highlight this amazing community development ministry! We didn't have time to really show the massive impact that communities across the district are receiving in the youth training camps and through training at this model community development centre. Even so, we hope that you get a taste that something exciting is happening here. YWAM Bulawayo hope, Peniel centre was base 7. The impact into impoverished communities that this YWAM work is doing was quite astounding to me, so many community development projects, so much fruit! We especially loved the bridging school that get kids that were forced to drop out of primary up to speed and a year later back into a government school. Please pray for this awesome YWAM base and the community's, kids and orphans they care for.

YWAM Livingstone was base 5. We had beautiful times of fellowship and worship with this team and made this video. They have a worship and music focused DTS next year which is going to be a beautiful time for young people to seek God and grow. Please pray for them for new staff and a new move of God through YWAM in Livingstone.

YWAM Mkushi Zambia was base 5, a pioneering location that will have its first Adventure DTS next year at the start of July 2023. After almost 30 years of leading ndubaluba Christian outdoor education in Zambia the Thomson family will launch this innovative discipleship school combining the DTS with outdoor adventure. We love their adventure vision and heart to impact rural communities and the disabled. We the Dugmore family will be helping them launch their DTS next year. Please pray for its launch and send some adventurous young people to join us

Base 4 was YWAM Lusaka where the YWAM Overland Adventures team had the honour of staying a bit longer to stand with the passionate Daniel & Lisette December who are taking over the base leadership. We had the honour to seek God with the team for 2 weeks and make 2 videos about the new season of vision and ministry God is releasing. This video is about Lisette's vision to launch the hope clinic on the ywam lusaka base. We are so blessed to have doctors like lizette serving with YWAM, please pray for her vision to happen now! We believe NOW is God's word for YWAM Lusaka.

It was encouraging to meet with the staff and see the ministries of Abgola during our time at Ywam Huambo in central angola. While we were there we got to see the huge womens ministry and a thriving kings kids work. I saw how powerful kings kids can be to raise up the next generation. I love the way this ywam Angola has sent out missionaries to reach the rural tribes of Angola. The Lubango base was packed in the evenings with professionals being discipled. And the impact of thd base jn the capital and the servant heart ans vision of the leader Abraao was a window into why they are having such impact. We love ywam Angola!

YWAM Dzaleka was the 3rd base YWAM Overland Adventures had the honour to visit. They were in the midst of their 1st week of the pioneering discipleship school that we believe will start a transformation and missions moment among refugees and into the nations they fled from. Please pray for Tresor the base leader as e leads this DTS and for the 9 students for provisions and encounter with God. Our media team made this video for the sports ministry lead by Jimmy ntwali, that are having a great impact in lives through this sports and discipleship program. Base 2 on the YWAM Overland Adventures trip was YWAM Zomba. This fruitful base launched 3 years ago by Ali and mphatso Kadindi. Already they have 11 staff and are having a huge impact in the community serving kids and youth and vulnerable women and drilling wells and DTS missions school and and and. Please pray with them for provision to finish purchasing their property they have 1/3 of the £90,000 with 2/3 to pay over the next few years. Our YWAM overland adventures media team will be making videos to highlight the amazing work of the bases we visit across Africa. Here is the first. Ywam Blantyre evangelism team does evangelism work supporting churches across Malawi with this, recently renovated, evangelism truck. Its so good to have the truck up and running again bringing the Jesus film and evangelistic praise parties to rural villages. We are so greatful for the giving that made possible the purchase of 20,000 marks gospels as the new PA and repairs to this gospel tool that is helping complete the great commission in Africa. Please pray for ywam Blantyre evangelist as they keep harvesting And training more fishers of men on Shamar our big red Evangelism truck!

We have set off! Day 3 on the road, the team is bonding and working together well. A very encouraging time with the YWAM team in Zomba seeking God together and training them in financial systems, both so important as the work of God grows there. The truck is running smoothly with no problems. Yay God! Some prayer for Daniel would be appreciated, I need to reapply for my visa for Angola as the first one was rejected due to me not having a return flight even though I am driving in via Namibia 😋. Secondly for healing as in the heat here Daniel has ended up with a nose bleed that doesn't want to stop. Tomorrow we go to the ywam base at the Dzaleka refugee camp and then I to the Zambian border.

This morning the staff and DTS joined us to commission the YWAM overland adventures truck for this missionary journey and commit all of it to Jesus, because.... Its all for Jesus! We journey in Jesus, for Jesus, with Jesus, sent by Jesus, moving forward because of Jesus, to discover Jesus in every place and person we meet, so that those who we meet may know Jesus more and we may learn more about Jesus through them. For all things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. John 1:3 feeling poetic as we set off maybe it's a bit of being tired, but we have done it. We are ready. 8 hours until we drive out!

2 days to GO. Today we are celebrating some big breakthroughs. Suzy and I got our renewed and upgraded driving licences just in time for the trip. All the food has been bought and packed. The major problems with the truck have been repaired. we are almost ready for the final pack of the truck car and trailer tomorrow. Please pray for more team members as they fly in on Friday, for the little kinks to be sorted with the truck and for it to run well with no breakdowns.

We had a busy day moving house again to the ywam base so make our final preparations. Wyatt has arrived to join the media team for the trip. The kids were so excited at his arrival! Please pray for me, tomorrow, after a year of battling, I have the final theory test for my upgraded driving licence that need for some nations we pass through. Its been such a drama with two driving school closing and it being seemingly impossible to get the HGV licence. Please pray that we get breakthrough! And soon as in 5 days we set off. God willing!

8 days and counting down! Today after months of work getting it ready, we took the overland adventures truck on its first test drive with our friends the scutts. Abishai rolled beautifully with most systems working very well. The hydraulic low high ratio gear shifter was a bit sticky so we will need that looked at and the windscreen washer jets need adjusting,the rest is good, yay God. I did see that some spotlights would make night driving much easier but don't know if we will have the time to fit them now. We will see. Please pray that our new licences come out early next week so we don't have any stress in the build up to the departure next Saturday.

Countdown is now at 15 days until we drive out of YWAM Blantyre. The truck has had some cosmetic repair ans respraying done and new sign writing on it. We also decided to name the truck Abashai - which means "Gift if God" or "Your Father is a gift". Like Shamah the red evangelism truck the name is one of Davis's mighty men this time the leader of the 30 who were David's toughest soldiers. 2 Samuel 23:8-39 I love insane bravery of these guys who David trained from when they met on the run in the cave of adulum on the run and raised to being giant killers. Abashai killed 300 in a day alone. These days we are not killing but fighting for salvation and breakthrough for people. I want this kind of focus and courage and boldness Abishai had on our teams that travel in this truck. Taking a stand fighting alone if needs be, leading the mighty to bring life hope love connection to hundreds and thousands. Lord be mighty in us Oh mighty God and Father, that we would be a gift of God wherever we go!

25 days to go. Counting down before our team sets off on what will end up being a 10,000km overland adventure to visit and encourage ywam communities across 5 nations in Southern Africa. We will be documenting the preparations, the breakthroughs, the ywam hero's we meet, the highs and lows as we trek from Malawi with its lake of stars to the most southernmost tip of Africa. Journey with us, stand with us, support us, pray with us. Especially pray that God would go before us as we would discern follow Him as he goes before us like a cloud by day and fire by night. Pray we bring the Holy Spirit and The word of God that encourages releases and gives fresh Hope to YWAM in Southern Africa.
