Beautiful Hike up Mulanje with the Skilled Guide, Kingsley!

We had the most incredible experience on a 6hr hike up Mulanje with Kingsley. As a group of colleagues doing volunteer healthcare work in healthcare in Malawi, we did this on our day off. kingsley was a brilliant guide, he can literally run this route or navigate it in the dark. He stopped to give us rests and is knowledgeable about the geography and history, answering our questions (even about birds we could hear). There are different routes and distances, this one was like a staircase type incline for most of the three hours up to a plateau. We then went around to a pool fed by a waterfall which we swam in. (We debated swimming in this but felt it was low risk for infection compared to water lower down the mountain). It was absolutely beautiful the whole way round, the views were like something from a travel brochure. We had lunch at the end ( very tasty beans and rice etc). We would recommend bringing several bottles of water per person and snacks, decent trainers (or hiking boots). Some of the route was shaded and it was about 25° Celsius, very manageable weather. We felt in self hands and with Kingsley as our guide, he’s a very skilled and humble person with a good sense of humour and a reassuring and peaceful altitude. We were also impressed with his diving into the pool! We were able to pay by bank transfer and it all went very smoothly.

We’re excited to welcome four amazing volunteers to Malawi who are here to make a difference for people with hearing disabilities across the country! Before starting their work in the next 8 days, they decided to take on an unforgettable adventure—a day hike up to the stunning Chambe Plateau on Mount Mulanje.

Their journey ended with a refreshing swim at the beautiful Dziwe la Nkhalamba waterfalls, a perfect way to recharge before the impactful work ahead. Here’s to adventure, purpose, and giving back!

Great all inclusive plan for Sapitwa.

When I realized that I was going to have to do Sapitwa without any other friends or colleagues, and needed picking up from Blantyre, basically an all exclusive planning, I reached out to who responded immediately. Within two days, it was all sorted.

All I needed to do was to pack my bags. Kingsley sorted out everything else, porter, guide, accommodation, transport and food. As a solo female traveler, I do my research regarding reliability of a company, and did not disappoint.

Kingsley picked me from Blantyre absolutely on time. I had a great guide Harrison and a friendly porter Amson who were courteous, helpful and tried their best to me make me feel comfortable.

Sapitwa is a tough hike, be prepared. However, having the logistics all sorted meant that I only had to concentrate on the hike itself.
