📍Dziwe la Nkhalamba (The Gammers' pool).

Known for its breathtaking scenery and mini waterfall, Dziwe la Nkhalamba is a deep pool that receives it’s water from the pouring of Likhubula river.

Legend says, it was given the name because eldery women in surrounding areas cleansed themselves in the pool to have clear skin, long life and strength.

The Malawisaurus🦕

Preserved in the Karonga Museum, the plant-eating sauropod existed from 113 million years ago to 125 million years ago. It is one of the few of its kind whose skull material has been discovered.
In 1993, it was named the "Malawisaurus" by Louis Leo Jacobs, a vetebrae paleontologist, and his collegues.

Built mostly with stone (1903 -1911), St. Peter's Cathedral is said to be the third largest Cathedral in Africa. As one of Likoma island's main attractions, it is known for its marvelous engineering and collections of historical and religious artifacts that tell the story of Likoma Island's spiritual and cultural heritage.

*Fun Fact* The altar on which the Bible is placed was carved from the 'mpundu tree' - the tree under which David Livingstone's heart was buried.
