A busy week across Malawi & Zambia - our self drivers are across Nyika, Mulanje and Liwonde, School groups across South Luangwa and Kuti Wildlife Reserve and our little office, cafe and dzalanyama is welcoming residents in the winter sunshine!

This week we set up camp for Hampton School in - Chinguni Hills Campsite is over-run with 28 of us for the next few nights.
Cassim from the cafe and Amelia have got a camp kitchen going and the nights have been spent falling asleep to the calls on lion.

July brings in the student groups! We welcome universities and schools from the US and the UK, studying and volunteering. Our first group with Ollie are in Cape Maclear for the next two weeks studying fish. With afternoon lectures and day dives across the islands and lakeshore.

We headed over to this last weekend to check out the new developments and of course the beautiful horses of !
Kuti is a short drive from Lilongwe before Senga Bay and the ideal stop over for a hint of wildlife, walking, cycling and horse riding in the bush.

Offering camping, chalets, A-frames and self-catering villas.
We can’t wait to see the new changes and new experiences that will be coming to Kuti - check out their calendar of events for this year!

One of the highlights of our Malawian Birding Expedition so far has been this beautiful Böhm’s Bee-eater.

Although the species can be seen in other countries, Malawi is one of the easiest places to see it.

We saw this bird at the pick up point for while we waited to board the boat.

Malawi is definitely showing it's value as a birding destination!!
