In Dorado fishing, somedays you go big, other days you don't. This is an example of a big day, with 9 Dorado caught around the Marietas Islands.

Days later, an expedition with Captain David of Boca Panga Fishing (https://www.bocapangafishing.com/) landed one of the biggest catches of the year, at over 35 pounds. Not a bad way to start the holiday season.

From sea to table; embodying the spirit of the Villa La Sirena lifestyle.

Four lucky Boca visitors were able to embark on a half day trip with Boca Panga Fishing (https://www.bocapangafishing.com/), but not without starting their morning with a fresh cup of coffee at the Villa.

What's the next best thing after a long day on the water? Having the local Embarcadero restaurant chop up your afternoon catch into the freshest ceviche on earth. After a snack, tequila tasting in Los Veranos was mandatory.

Hurricane Lidia spared no-one in its path last month, but luckily, Villa La Sirena experienced only minor damage. After some repairs to our water tank and electric system, we are happy to say the villas are up and running back to normal.

Despite the strong winds, the beautiful palms and vegetation around Boca stands strong. Unfortunately, some homes in the village experienced flooding during the storm, and our hearts go out to the locals rebuilding their homes back even stronger.

The good news: El Dorado love swimming around the ocean debris swept in by hurricanes like Lidia, so we're expecting lots of big catches soon!

Hey Villa La Sirena Family,

Fall is upon us, which means El Dorado (Mahi Mahi) season is in full swing!

Captain David and crew happened to snag an absolute beauty this past week, roughly 30 miles off the coast of Boca. When they aren't busy helping Villa guests get their lines full of El Dorado, David and our other Panga fisherman are bringing fish home to their own families.

🎣 Ahoy, adventurers!

🐟 The Villa hosted a spirited crew of 12 Californians on a half-day Panga Fishing escapade in June. Three trusty Pangas carried this eclectic bunch, aged 9 to 55, on a fishing thrill.

🐠 Their efforts reeled in a whopping 21 ocean treasures—Bonito, Dorado, and Skip Jack, among others.

Our Rio Horcones during Hurricane Roslyn as she passed by off shore in October. All the Pangas were pulled in from moorings in advance. Boca's location keeps the storms from hitting the village. The river has subsided, the beach has since returned and bright sunny skies ahead. ☀️ View from 🧜🏼‍♀️

Torneo de Pesca Playa Los Mu***os. Dorado Tournament held November 5th, had 50+ entries from Sinaloa to Boca de Tomatlan. Average catch per craft was 5 Dorados. Weights ranged from 10 to 20+ pounds. The winning fish was 21.1 pounds. Most of the activity was around the La Corbetena area. First place received 200,000 pesos.
