We are not interior designers. We are people passionate about Mexican artistry and who, with Villa Tayrona, have a fantastic reason to travel the country and source incredible pieces. Absolutely 100% of the art at our villa is handmade in Mexico. Much of it is made in indigenous communities and by world-renowned Great Masters of Mexican Folk Art. We are proud to showcase their talent.

While we have plenty of spaces for togetherness, our rooms are designed to offer privacy. Six of our nine bedrooms have full kitchens like this one, which gives our guests more flexibility. Each room comes with purified water, locally roasted coffee, and super cute artisan-made dishware for those little moments of peace before the group activities begin.

One of the parts of our business that we love most is that we get to collaborate with people like Adela, Alberto and their adult children. They have an extraordinary orchard, close to the villa, where they grow dozens of varieties of heliconias flowers. From wedding bouquets to table decorations, they are the best of the best. We love working with you, !

Mexico First: decorations, furniture, art and supplies are made by Mexican hands. At Villa Tayrona, we are careful consumers, seeking to purchase quality Mexican products so as to support our country’s artisans and so that our guests can learn about the diversity of Mexican craftsmanship.

Environment: we are working to employ technologies that minimize our footprint, such as solar panels, biodegradable cleaning supplies, and a water recycling system.

Community: we encourage our guests to leave our property and explore Bucerias. We don’t offer restaurant or laundry services specifically because we hope our guests will become patrons at our neighbors’ businesses, too.
