Lucern or as they say here, Luzern is a charming small Switzerland town. The bridge in this image is the Chapel Bridge. Last night we had some great fondue, good wine & they make great gin and tonic that can be very experimental with different gins. A great first night with family and friends!

The 25 de Abril Bridge
A little B&W I have been playing around with. The 25 de Abril Bridge is a suspension bridge connecting the city of Lisbon, capital of Portugal, to the municipality of Almada on the left bank of the Tagus River. The 25 de Abril Bridge is based in part on two San Francisco Bay Area bridges. Its paint is the same International Orange color as the famous Golden Gate Bridge, and the design is similar as well to the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge. Both the Bay Bridge and the 25 de Abril Bridge were built by the same company.[14] The American Society of Civil Engineers says: "Like its sister bridge, the SFOBB in San Francisco, the Tagus River Bridge is located in an area with a long history of earthquakes" and seismic data had to be taken into account in its construction. Another sister bridge is the Forth Road Bridge in Edinburgh.
Upon completion, the bridge had the longest suspended span and the longest main span in Continental Europe, the world's longest continuous truss, and the world's deepest bridge foundation. It was the fifth-longest suspension bridge in the world,[6] and the longest outside the US. Today it is the 48th longest suspension bridge in the world.

Rome, The Eternal City, and capital of Roma provincia (province), of the Lazio regione (region), and of the country of Italy. Once the capital of an ancient republic and empire whose armies and policies defined the Western world in antiquity and left seemingly indelible imprints thereafter, the spiritual and physical seat of the Roman Catholic Church.
These images are a sampling of the many I took during our last visit and concentrate on only 3 areas of this Historically rich City. These are focused around The Forum, Palatine Hill & the Colosseum. This photo is the great Library of Celsus. It was a repository of over 12,000 scrolls and one of the most impressive buildings in the Roman Empire. Constructed in the 2nd century CE, it was named after the city's former Roman governor. Today, only the library's impressive facade remains of this once great building and is a silent witness to the city's stature as a great centre of learning and early Christian scholarship during the Roman period.
Marti & I truly enjoyed our visit to Ephesus exploring the history of this ancient city. This photo is one I took durimg our visit.
