The annual Baja Sardine Run is fast approaching and we’ve recently received a number of interesting questions, including what other marine species (in addition to bait balls, striped marlins, sea lions, dolphins and whales) we might see on these expeditions?

So, first things first! Our Sardine Run expeditions are all about exploration, sharing an unconditional love for the ocean with our guests and, of course, interacting with BIG ANIMALS!
While most of the activity revolves around bait balls and miles from the coast, other species can also be found along the way!
That’s why we like to spend very long days at sea, exploring all the possibilities, always on the lookout for an unexpected encounter!

To answer that question, here’s a quick list of the marine species we encountered on our Baja Sardine Run expeditions:
