Yep new additions to the house arrived this weekend. New dressers for both the upstairs and downstairs main bedrooms.
The dressers were made just for the house from a local furniture company. The dressers are made from a super durable wood called tzalam, which is a beutiful wood and last for years at the beach.
You have to be be extra careful when buying furniture at the beach because of the sea salt and extra high humidity.
Seaside lunch on the malecón. Almadía never disappoints. A little one the more expensive side, but definitely a vacation destination restaurant.

If you need to go to Merida on these days, consider taking the back route out of Chuburna through Sierra Papacal.
🚌 There will be BUSSES filled with vacationers that will be parked on your entradas, more families on the beaches and there will be a large increase in garbage. 🚮
🔌⚡️There will be power outages and your internet will slow down due to increased demand. Peak times are generally around 6 pm.
🧊🧊Ice will be increasingly difficult to find on weekends - stock up before the weekend begins.
🛍 🛒 Local stores will be at peak volume. Prepare for longer wait times if you plan on shopping on weekends at the beach. Have smaller bills and change available.

Stay Cool, My Friends! It’s gonna get HOT 🥵
We just had a rooftop pergola installed. It offers an amazing amount of shade on the rooftop so you can enjoy the view and breeze in some needed shaded comfort.
Furniture added. Waiting on the bench cushions and some accessories but super happy with the rooftop so far.
It took two years of waiting but we finally have fiber optic high speed internet. Before, the house had download speeds of about 10 Mbps, not it is over 200 Mbps.
New plants everywhere around the house and the rooftop deck. They love their new beach home.
The rooftop deck is transforming from a blank canvas to something beautiful. The bottom two pictures are the renderings from our designer. The top picture is the finished pergola. More pictures to come when all the furniture and accessories arrive.
