Science calls Mexican amber a "time capsule" since they have been based on amber to discover extinct species of both plants and insects.
♾ Did you know that the properties of amber are maximized when they are placed in Sterling silver or gold? That is why our Mexican warriors used amber with gold and other natural gems like imperial Jade on their ornaments.
When the warriors arrived from the battles, almost all of them were the warriors who had amber on their ornaments. We are so fortunate to have local artisanal jewelry makers Ben and Jessie from Guapi Ambar here in puerto Aventuras every Wednesday and Saturday at the Restaurant Latitude 20º +/- morning market from 9-12 midday.
