There are stunning views all around and you get to witness the amazing sunsets from the deck. On the front and back you can enjoy the succulent and cactus gardens. There is a lot of light and air circulation. This is a place to be with yourself, your loved ones, and relax! Guest Access
This was our house for many years and we love it. We had to move out two years ago, but we still use it whenever
it is not rented. For now, and until we finish furnishing the 5 bedroom house, only the bottom floor is available for guests. There is a dividing door, we request that you respect it. You will still have full access to the deck, our rock zen garden and the patio. Nobody will stay at the top floor while you are there. Interaction with Guests
We live in Ensenada now, and might be able to come and say hello to you. However, our neighbor Steve is helping us with the maintenance of part of the house and he will be there to guide you and help you with anything. Steve will meet you at your arrival and explain to you the important details of the solar system, propane and water. Steve is a nice and respectful man. The Neighborhood
This is a small artist community. We love our neighbors, they are like family to us, please respect them. You can hike or walk around the mountain and you will feel welcomed. There are several tidal pools right there, spots to fish, and a small beautiful beach. Walking distance from the house is La Bufadora, a famous blow hole, than many come to visit. Close to La Bufadora there are a couple of restaurants, grocery store and a some gift shops. In that area you can also go kayaking and scuba diving. If you take your car, 10 minutes from the house there is a long sandy beach, where you can go spend some time and where you can rent horses. The closest town is 15 minutes away. There you can find s few more stores and restaurants (and a good baker). If you don't bring your food from home, you should stop on the way to the house. Costco is on the way, same as other smaller supermarkets like Comercial Mexicana (just passing Costco) and Calimax (last medium size supermarket on the Maneadero turn). Getting Around
To get to this Ocean front house on the cliff, you must take a 5 to 10 minute dirt road. We like the dirt road, it helps to keep our side of the mountain calm and quiet. The road is better in some seasons than others. Advice: leave your sport car at home, so you can enjoy the casual encounter with a road runner, or a family of quails, stead of worrying about your car. (My first car to drive this mountain was a Honda Accord and it did just fine). Other Things to Note
Each season is unique and enchanting. In the summer you will love hiking down to the tidal pools to swim and sunbathe, the nights hanging out in the deck. In the winter you might see the whales passing by right in front of you. You might get a little rain, but then the mountain smells like fresh herbs. In the spring the mountain blooms. The autumn is cool and you can be out in nature all day. There are so many different backdrops and landscapes for beautiful pictures!
