National Margarita Day 🍸

Today we are going to switch things up😂
We know that today is the official but when you visit Tequila, Jalisco it’s more famously known for a cocktail called all served in a clay pot of the same name and decided to give you a different recipe for national margarita day that you can prepare at home.

So these are the ingredients for a classic cantarito cocktail ⬇️

•2oz. Tequila
•1/2 oz. Lime juice
•1/2 oz orange juice
•1/2 oz grapefruit soda (such as Sq**rt or Fresca)
•pinch of salt
•Ice

Distillery 1506 🌵
This distillery is known for producing tequilas such as Marengo, Amor Indio, Casa Verde , Corazon Maya and others. It’s located in the agave town of El Arenal, Jalisco a 45 min drive from Guadalajara
The distillery have there own agave fields in the valley region of Jalisco where they wait between 5-7 years to harvest there blue agaves, then the piñas are taken to the factory where they will be cut in half and put into the stone/brick oven (Mampostería) where the piñas will be cooked with steam and after 24 hour of cooking they will open the metal doors to cool down the cooked piña. From there the cooked agave will go to the conveyor belt and consequently to the roller mill to extract the agave juice (mosto). The “mosto” will then be put in stainless still tanks and ferment for a couple days . And then the fermented juice will be distilled 2x as well in stainless pot.
