He also told us about his other two projects in Tourism, doing tours with Master Tequileros in the Tequila Valley and as a manufacturer/creator of Tequila brands.
The interview is in Spanish. English subtitles are coming soon.

Have you made your own pottery? On our Tonala & Tlaquepaque Tour you can meet the artisan families and learn the art of pottery directly from them in their workshop.
Pottery is an ancestral legacy of Jalisco. Since pre-Hispanic times, it has been made for utilitarian pieces such as vases and pots. It was also used to create clay figures of indigenous gods and goddesses for religious purposes.

Do you know the master potters of Tonalá and Tlaquepaque? One of the cultural legacies of Jalisco is pottery. The authentic pre-Hispanic technique existed for centuries before the Spanish Conquest.
Only a few families such as the Bernabé ( ) and Panduro ( ) families preserve this tradition.

Incredible altar for the celebration of the Day of the Dead at the Tlaquepaque Regional Museum of Ceramics.
The altar consists of placing Cempasúchil flowers, candles, papel picado, photos of your deceased relatives, skulls, and the food and drinks that you are going to offer to your deceased since the main objective is to guide our deceased on their journey from the underworld to our altar on earth.
The Day of the Dead is a day of celebration because our deceased relatives and friends come to visit us and accompany us all night.

This is how a "hijuelo" (baby agave) is planted in the Tequila Valley. Santiago, from California, sets the example and does it very well the first time. The real jimadores (harvesters) earn 1 peso for each one they plant.

The Zapopan dancers are famous for accompanying the Virgin of Zapopan in the pilgrimage on October 12. However, they preserve pre-Hispanic traditions such as thanking the god Tlaloc for the rain with offerings and dances just when the rainy season begins.

This is how the insurgents defended the Island of Mezcala during the War of Independence (1812 - 1816). Throwing stones with a slingshot. Imagine 1000 indigenous people throwing stones simultaneously, it became a cloud of stones. They could see the blood in the water and with that they knew they had won the battle.
