Villa Isla Vida

I see a lot of posts where people are looking for places with a pool, that can accommodate large groups - so I thought I should share our superlative experience at this outstanding villa. If you’re looking for a place to book on this beautiful island, and haven’t heard about Villa Isla Vida, take a look!

We’ve been to Mexico many times, but this is the first time we stayed somewhere other than an all inclusive resort. Our only regret was not not staying here sooner!

The Villa is perfectly situated in the most southern tip of the island of Punta Sur which enabled us to wake up, and view the gorgeous sunsets from the roof top deck every morning with coffee in hand, and later relax by the pool with a blended drink, and watch the wildlife and yachts for hours. We rented a golf cart for the duration of our stay, which wasn’t really needed as there were always taxis lined up right outside the villa and a bus that frequently passed by.

We were so lucky to get a booking here for 6 nights with 5 couples. We each had our own rooms, all with super comfy king sized beds, soft linens, our own beautiful bathrooms, and each room was equipped with its own safe to keep our passports and other valuables.

The kitchen was fully equipped with more than what we could ever need. We hired a private chef service (locals to the islands) and even they couldn’t believe how beautiful the kitchen, the views, the pool, and whole place is.

The views from the villa were absolutely astonishing, and the pool made us barely want to leave the villa.. North Beach who? Every morning and night we had to pick out jaws up off the floor.

The owners of the villa had carefully thought out every detail to make their guests feel not only at home, but also to feel like they are truly on a luxury vacation. The owners have carefully chosen staff that services and maintains the villa, such as house keeping, a house manager, and maintenance staff which were all outstanding - much better service than in an actual resort. I must add how kind, passionate and sincere the owners, Daniel & Johanne are. They truly went out of their way to make this an unforgettable trip for us. Their recommendations of all the things to do, and the restaurants to eat at were on point.

I’m still in awe about how incredible our stay was at Villa Isla Vida - it’s such a special place. Staying here will make you feel like a million bucks, as I believe this is by far the nicest villa on the entire island. Because our stay was so awe-inspiring and first class, I thought I should share this piece of paradise because I wish I had known about this place sooner!
