I have a (Warm Showers/Couchsurfing) friend headed this way from Jesús Maria, Nayarit. He is traveling on his mountain bike and after South America for a couple of years, now exploring Mexico.

Check out the twists and turns on this road!

I've hosted many long distance bicyclers. It seems they have all been focused on point A to point B; as in Anchorage to Tierra del Fuego.

This guy is taking a much different tact. He meanders all over and does actual exploring.

He is a Spaniard from Burgos, one of the places I walked through on my camino in Spain.

The beautiful summer rains have fallen into a predictable pattern. This will change, but for now, we start to hear distant thunder in the late afternoon, and a heavy downpour starts soon after. Just about every day, I drain out the extra pool water and every day it fills back up again. The plants are clean, healthy, and loving it.
