Merida Fest schedule is out!
REMEMBER‼️
Streets around Plaza Grande will be closed starting January 4th preparing for the opening festival on the 5th. There will be LOTS of traffic and congestion.
We recommend going early to events you are interested in. The majority of events are FREE and will be crowded.

Hola! If you'd like to know more about Merida Mexico, this article will help answer some questions about what it's like to live here. We spend a lot of time helping people understand that things change frequently here, many things don't make sense, and to keep in mind that Mexico IS a foreign country. Letting go of expectations and arriving with a clean slate helps the adjustment period tremendously!

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening - wherever you are!

Since beginning Life in Mérida™ 5 years ago, my sole focus has been researching, finding, and providing information for those visiting or interesting in living long-term and short-term in Mérida. This journey has been all-consuming for me and for the last 2.5 years for Angel.
~
90% of what we do centers around how it can support local businesses or help potential residents - both in our personal and professional lives. Taking photos at restaurants, previewing hotels, interviewing service providers, publishing articles, writing guides and reviews, and making sure all information is current, correct, and updated accordingly is something we started in the beginning and have continued since Day 1.
~
This year presented some incredibly difficult lessons, adjustments, and health challenges that just keep bombarding us, especially in the last few months. Angel has been sick several times which is unusual for him. I'm just getting over the flu and was out of the office for about 4 weeks. Even after the long break, I am still not 100%.
~
Therefore, we are making the incredibly difficult decision to put the newletter, social media group, website, and all events on pause for an extended period of time (INCLUDING the Zoom calls for TODAY and December). We are not sure how long but as of now, we don't want to put a date on it.
~
With high season coming up, we are intent on servicing the clients we currently have, handling inquiries, and preparing for group tours in February that we are collaborating with Expatsi on.
