email [email protected] for availability. Casa de Pedro May is family friendly and very popular due to its central location, great value for money and spacious luxury and privacy. It has received top reviews from all its guests. All taxes are included. NO CLEANING OR MAINTENANCE CHARGES, unlike some places that sneakily add them on when you come to book! Your only other cost is for electricity
, which is standard practice here, and is based on actual consumption. With 12 hours of light, sunny days and 27C, where would your rather spend the Winter Months? It's cheaper than staying at home with the heating on! Small Pets considered and Smoking is allowed in the outside areas. I look forward to welcoming you very soon for an authentic Colonial Mérida experience. Safe travels :-)
This spacious colonial house offers a luxurious and completely private and hotel standard pampered environment for 2 people (and with its guest bedroom can accomodate up to 4 at no extra cost). It has been completely refurbished to the highest standard and features a fully fitted kitchen with all modern conveniences, including dishwasher and washing machine, an indoor/outdoor fully mosquito screened and shaded comfy open air living area for relaxing. The proper sized pool (approx 1.5m deep and 6 metres long) is not just a plunge pool and means you can exercise in it if you want. The spacious house is set in lush tropical gardens and there is a rooftop lookout tower with fresh breezes. The city centre is just 15 minutes walk. Situated in the popular Santiago quarter, a vibrant and lively and colourful neighbourhood, it's only 5 minutes from the colourful local Santiago market with its fresh fruit, spices, flowers and traditional tasty Mexican Yucatecan food. Both bedrooms and the sala and dining room have air conditioning for the Summer months. The high ceilings and interior gardens means this house has wonderful air flow and is naturally nice and cool all year round. Mérida was recently voted the best city to live in Mexico! It is proud to call itself the City of Peace and is recognised as one of the safest and friendliest cities in México. If you love Culture, History and good food, then this is the place for you. Enjoy symphonies, ballets, theatre, fine dining, incredible museums, galleries, modern movie theatres, and so much more in this beautiful 'White City'. There is so much to do here, that you will never get bored - which is one of the many reasons I live here! If you have a thirst for adventure, then you can swim in the underground lakes, or "cenotes" that surround the city. Two of the greatest Mayan sites at Chichen Itza and Uxmal are just an hour's drive away. Cancun is 3.5 hours away and Playa del Carmen only 2.5 hours away. The lovely beach of Progreso on the Gulf of Mexico, with its beautiful new Malecon and fresh seafood is just a 30 minute drive from the house. MY PERSONAL RESTAURANT FAVOURITES:
Mérida: Amaro´s (in Calle 59), Apoala and Chaya Maya (both in Santa Lucia), and
Zinc in Paseo Montejo. Progreso: Los Henequenes, Crabster’s. The house has its own dedicated off street parking space which has space for an SUV.
