HistoryTime!!

RAMÓN VALDIOSERA, FATHER OF THE MEXICAN PINK; Origin of the name of this representative color of Mexico In 1949, the Mexican journalist, painter, cartoonist and fashion designer Valdiosera presented a fashion collection at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York in which he used predominantly bougainvillea pink, when he was questioned by the international press about the choice of that color, he replied that that color was characteristic and ubiquitous in Mexican culture, since it was found in handmade toys, traditional costumes of different ethnic groups, sweets, houses, among other Mexican expressions. Given this, a journalist reasoned that it was then a Mexican pink, a name that has since been associated with the color.

Listen to someone you think may have nothing in common with you. Order the steak rare. Eat an oyster. Have a negroni. Have two. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the person next to you, but have a drink with them anyways. Eat slowly. Tip your server. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself.
