Hello from the owners of PlayaLuxuryRentals. We spent the month of October at our beach condo at Luna Encantada located in the heart of Playa at 6th street and the beach. As some of you might know, for several years the entire Caribbean has had an excessive amount of seaweed floating onto our pristine beaches but we are please say that beachfront was back to normal during our entire vacation and in order to keep it that way the city has hired a private company with over a hundred daily workers raking and cleaning the beaches every morning at 6am and stand ready to mitigate the seaweed problem if or when it might return. The Mexican Caribbean is one of the most pure and pristine bodies of water in the world so get down there and Enjoy!!!

Mexico summer tourism increases despite worldwide economic struggles.

-Destinations throughout the Riviera Maya have reported an impressive consistent occupancy rate of more than 85 percent-
Positive summer tourism numbers in Mexico for 2011 bode well for the country's economy as a whole, as well as for the Mexico real estate market in specific. According to reports released earlier this month by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism, there has been an overall increase in the number of tourists coming to Mexico's hotspot destinations, with hotel occupancy growing by more than 4.5 percent in July of 2011, as compared to the same period in 2010.
