Talavera pottery appeared on Mexico in the 16th century after the arrival of Spanish potters from Talavera de la Reina to the city of Puebla. They adapted the ceramics to local materials and motives, Puebla Talavera was born.
Obviously, during the festivities of día de los mu***os, you can find special designs like the catrina on this photo.

A new generation in the making...

When you walk through the forest and suddenly a pair of Monarchs are falling from the sky. They are landing right in front of your feet. After taking a moment to recover from the impact, the female tries to escape one last time. But the male holds on tightly and drags his chosen one to the shade where she will have less energy available, and it will be easier for him to control her. If he is successful, they might stick together for up to around 16 hours. A new generation is on its way.
