Ist Annual Trick or Treat candy give away to be held at the Puerto Peñasco Convention Center October 31st from 4pm to 7pm. If you would like to donate Candy, set up a table or donate money to purchase candy please contact me or Michele Tomlison or CAVIF Gestor de Servicios AC . Candy may be dropped if at Las Conchas Office, DIF, City Hall or Océano Rentals Office.

Our Goal is to prevent accidents while the kids ask for candy by doing this event in one large area. Help us make our first year a successful one.

We would like to invite the entire community of Puerto Peñasco to be part of our First Annual Trick Or Treat event. CAVIF Gestor de Servicios AC along with DIF, City of Puerto Peñasco and the Community of Las Conchas have created an event for giving out candy in one location. The Convention Center was selected for this event. This will control the flow of traffic in many areas and prevent any major accidents involving children.

Join us this November 7th for our 1st Beast Cáncer Breakfast at Peñasco del Sol from 9 a.m. to 1.p.m.
We will have live Music, Folklore Dancers, Raffles, Auction and many more surprises.

All money raised will be used to provide 200 Mammograms to local women along with providing Travel & Food Vouchers for those who need treatment such as Chemo or Radiation Therapy only provided in Nogales, Hermosillo or Obregón. Our goal is to provide as much help to those in need to also include medication.

Help us reach our goal of $20,000 dollars so we may provide these vital services here in our community. Tickets are $25 dollars or 500 pesos. We can drop off tickets at any location. Payments may be made via Venmo or Zelle and your ticket will be secured. We have a limit of 100 tickets for this event.

Visit Frida Kahlo's house in Coyoacán

The Frida Kahlo Museum is the most representative cultural venue of the Mexican artist, as well as being a container of an important part of her artistic and conceptual legacy. It is a house museum located in the Colonia Del Carmen of the Coyoacán Mayor's Office, which corresponds to one of the most traditional and beautiful neighborhoods in Mexico City. A few blocks from the Museum, you will find the center of Coyoacán.
Also known as the Blue House, it is one of the busiest museums in the area. The building, which today protects and exhibits a collection of pieces of various kinds, belonged to the Kahlo family since 1904. Four years after the painter's death, in July 1958,2 it opened its doors to the public as a house museum.
Frida Kahlo (1907-1954) lived in the Blue House for most of her life; initially, with his family and years later, with Diego Rivera (1886-1957). Likewise, characters from the artistic and intellectual environment of the first half of the twentieth century, both Mexicans and foreigners,

San Andrés Mixquic is one of the seven indigenous communities in the borough of Tláhuac. It is located at the southeastern end of Mexico City in an area that was formerly an island surrounded by Lake Chalco, currently dried up and of which only a few channels remain. Mixquic is a town that is part of the polygon of the chinampera area declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Join us this Saturday October 19th for our First Walk for Breast Cancer Walk sponsored by CAVIF Gestor de Servicios AC. Registration will start at 7am and walk to begin at 830am. Starting point will be Parque de la Madre to conclude at Shrimp Park. We will be joining forces with Mermaid Market to hold a few events and provide information about Breast Cancer Awareness.

All money collected will go towards 200 mammograms, medication, travel and food vouchers.

What to wear: We are asking everyone participating to wear pink and to decorate a bra using your imagination to honor those who have lost their lives, currently fighting or have survived Breast Cancer. All bras will be donated to several local artists, who will create a one of a kind art price to be raffled at our Breast Cancer Breakfast event. Please make sure you wear your bra over a shirt during the walk, but not required. If you want to decorate a car or a float by all means please do so.

🩷🩷 2024 Breast Cancer Fundraiser 🩷🩷

As many of you may know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we are holding our annual fundraisers. We have distributed over 20 Pink Donation cans throughout many of your favorite restaurants and watering holes. We will also have a benefit walk October 19th. We will post more information soon. Finally we will hold a Breast Cancer Fundraiser at Peñasco del Sol on Nov 7th. Our goal is to raise $40,000 dollars to provide the following services:

1. 200 mammograms for local women in Puerto Peñasco.

2. Medication for cancer patients that may not be able to afford it.

3. Travel and Food Vouchers for patients that may need need medical appointments in Nogales or Hermosillo.

All donations will go to these three vital programs. Your support will assure that many will benefit and may save lives due to prevention and awareness.
