Presidente Municipal de Puerto Peñasco confirma que no se exigirá permiso de ingreso a visitantes estadounidenses

Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, 15 de marzo de 2025

El Presidente Municipal de Puerto Peñasco, el Dr. Óscar Eduardo Castro Castro, aclaró en entrevista que el problema relacionado con el supuesto permiso de ingreso para visitantes estadounidenses ha sido resuelto. Durante la conversación, el doctor Castro Castro explicó que se había generado un rumor sobre la exigencia de un permiso especial para que los turistas de Estados Unidos pudieran ingresar a México a través de la garita de Sonoyta–Lukeville. Sin embargo, tras reuniones con las autoridades competentes, se confirmó que Puerto Peñasco mantiene su estatus de área libre, por lo que los visitantes podrán ingresar sin complicaciones. "Queremos que la gente venga sin ninguna preocupación y disfrute de las mejores condiciones posibles", señaló el alcalde.

Con la temporada vacacional de Spring Break, el Dr. Castro Castro destacó que se espera una afluencia significativa de turistas. “Estamos en espera de que Peñasco tenga un auge total en cuanto al Spring Break se refiere. Se rumora que podrían llegar alrededor de 100 mil o incluso hasta 120 mil personas durante esta temporada, sumando también los visitantes de Semana Santa”, afirmó el presidente municipal. Este incremento en el turismo representa una oportunidad clave para la economía local, pero también un desafío en términos de seguridad y servicios públicos.

El alcalde hizo un llamado tanto a los residentes como a los turistas para que tomen precauciones y sigan las recomendaciones de seguridad para garantizar una estancia segura y agradable. "Es importante que brindemos el mejor servicio posible a nuestros visitantes y que ellos, a su vez, se cuiden para prevenir accidentes y regresar a casa de manera segura", expresó Castro Castro. Con esta medida, Puerto Peñasco reafirma su compromiso de ofrecer una experiencia turística de calidad y sin contratiempos para todos los visitantes.
