The famous walled-in historic center is just a few minutes by foot, as is the seaside Malecon. Of course, that amazing pool is even closer!! 🌴

Just a short walk from our location (less than 10 minutes), SON Jarocho is a wonderful option to take in homemade traditional cuisine from Veracruz. Open for breakfast and lunch, Tuesday through Sunday.

Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral is one of the most important historical buildings here in Campeche. It has been the center of our city’s religious and cultural life since its founding more than 300 years ago. Although a chapel has stood on the site since 1540, the current building dates from the 17th century and was given cathedral status in 1895 by Pope Leo XIII. Come visit.

October 4th is día de la Campechanidad. Every Campechano and Campechana from the very young to the very old don their traditional outfits and comes out to celebrate the founding of their city 484 years ago. It’s a festive, vibrant authentic celebration not to be missed!

On October 5th we are gonna put on our campechana blouses 👚and our dancing shoes 👠 and get our moves on to live music by a fabulous cumbia band, drink cerveza from stein 🍺 and eat 🥨, all for the best cause 🐾 at the most gorgeous oasis in a tropical paradise 🌴.
