Pisces Sportfishing and Luxury Yachts started off as a family owned and operated business out of the City of La Paz, Baja, Mexico in 1978 with one 28 ft boat. Since then we have grown to be one of the largest and most respected charter fleets in Mexico as well as being recognized worldwide by fisherman and conservationists alike. To keep pace with the times and the growth of a more sophisticated m

arket we have gradually added more vessels and can now offer everything from the basic Baja Panga (skiff with outboard motor) to mega yachts. Still the favorite of most Cabo visitors are our standard cruisers, seaworthy, clean boats between 28 and 31 feet, with very experienced crews which are great value for money. We also offer slightly larger, 32 to 48 feet, newer model, vessels with more comfort like salons and air-conditioning , known as our mid range cruisers. Large Sportfishers over 50 feet are also available usually being new high tech vessels with great speed and more range. Rounding out what we , are the Luxury Yachts, most being multi-purpose - fishing, cruising, snorkeling, diving -ideal for those wanting to be pampered with the very best or to spend a week aboard , cruising the Sea of Cortez. What sets us apart are the relationships we form with our clients, long-term; our focus is service, value for money and experienced crews. We have been in Cabo for almost three decades and have a proven track record that keeps our guests returning year after year. We have superb catch rates, but also promote the conservation of sportfish especially marlin. PISCES WEEK BEGINS WITH A 235 POUND TUNA! 🔥🎣🤩

What a week the Pisces Fleet has had braving the swells and reeling in some impressive catches. They fished under clear skies, with various species deciding if they wanted to take a bite of the anglers’ bait and chum, making it an exciting fishing trip for every fisherman aboard. It was thrilling to see so many different fish in action. The air was warm, the sun shone brightly, and most returned to the dock with that Cabo tan. Most days, the water temperature was around 72 to 74 degrees, and the air temperature was close, from 70 to 75. This was heaven for all the visitors from different parts of the US and Canada who were thrilled to arrive in Mexico. 🙌🏻

PISCES ANGLERS ENJOYED A WEEK FILLED WITH REMARKABLE VARIETY! 🎣 🙌🏻🤓

Despite the week being cooler and windier, which affected the fishing conditions, there was still decent action. Anglers found small schools of dorado in blue, warm water, and four dorado weighing between 15 and 20 pounds were caught using live bait and trolled lures and feathers. The rough waters did pose a challenge with live bait, as bait boats struggled to reach the bait spots. However, this didn’t deter the crew; they found plentiful bonito, providing good sport. Along the rocks and reefs, there was good action on various species like snapper, jack crevalle, sierra, yellowtail, amberjack, and small roosterfish. The water temperature ranged from 70 to 72 F, and the air temperature was around 74 F. The wave height was 5-6 FT, and the wind conditions were 5MPH.

PISCES FLEET ENJOYS A WEEK FILLED WITH SPORTFISHING ADVENTURES!! 🎣🤩👏🏻

Including Striped Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Thresher Shark, Yellowtail, Roosterfish, Sierra, Bonita, and Dorado.

The “TIBURON,” a 31-foot Bertram, with Captain Jesus Romero and Mate Carlos Santos, headed to the Golden Bank where their anglers, Ángel David, Elizabeth Galvez, and Ruth Magpoc, caught and released Two 80 to 100-pound Striped Marlin on mackerel. The fight was intense, the marlins putting up a good struggle before being released back into the ocean. What a day! They came into the dock with smiles, recounting the thrilling experience.

800-POUND FISH WINNER IN NEW YEAR’S BATTLE!! 🔥 🤩

The Santana Family from Sonoma County, California, had no idea what they were in for when they booked a half-day aboard Pisces 66-Ft. Viking, Friday Bank for January 3rd. Pretty much the whole family came along, from teenagers to grandpa. They headed 16 miles from the Old Lighthouse, found a school of tuna, and picked up three fish in the 5 to 15-pound class. Captain Alex Collins was scanning the horizon with his binoculars, spotted birds diving on another school of tuna about three miles away, and trolled toward the school. It was 9.15 am when they reached the school. One of the rods on the left side went off, and the line began peeling off the spool! Then they saw a massive marlin jump!

First up on the rod was June, a fit 26-year-old who struggled for 2.5 hours reeling and couldn’t make a dent in the fish. She handed the rod off to Boomer, who lasted an hour. Then, it went to Willie, followed by Alfredo, and even Juanito, the Chef, who fought it for two hours. And then Grandpa James, in his 70s, had a go. Alfredo got back on the rod; by now, it was almost 6:30 pm – this half-day trip had turned into an Old Man and the Sea Odyssey! 😍👏🏻🎣

Sometimes the fish win! The Santana family from Sonoma County, California, out on January 2nd on 66Ft Viking “Friday Bank” in Cabo, hooked this fish estimated at 700 -800 Lbs, and fought it from 9.15 am to 6.30 pm. Captian Alex Collins said fish was still fresh and jumped like mad,15 minutes before having it boatside.

800 LBS Fish Wins New Years Battle!

It was 9.15 AM when they reached the school and one of the left rods went off and line peeled off the spool! They saw a massive marlin jump! The fish had taken a green and yellow dorado type lure with the hook firmly lodged deep in the mouth, the 500 LB fluorocarbon leader and 100 LB line spooled on a Shimano Tiagra 50 had been perfect for what they had targeted, tuna, but was no match for this beast. The fish jumped and twisted, still fresh, just as it had been when they first hooked it! The sun had already set and finally the fish was boatside and the leader was in reach , but the fish was still pretty deep and not in perfect gaff position. Then - ping, the leader broke and she was gone! Despite a skilled captain and crew and a whole family fighting this beauty, the fish proved stronger and lived to fight another day - she disappeared into the night, still strong. We shows videos and photos to different Cabo captains and the consensus was the fish was 700 -800 LBS, we went with 800 LBS, now being a fisherman which of those two numbers would you choose ?

DOUBLE DIGIT STRIPERS RELEASED IN ONE DAY! 🔥🔥

Everywhere the Pisces fleet boats went this week, they found lots of hungry Striped Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, or even a few Wahoo waiting for the bait (which always adds a refreshing touch). The water temperature has dipped as low as 75 to 77 degrees, and the air slipped slightly to between 66 and 78 degrees, creating near-comfortable conditions for a relaxing and memorable trip for the anglers who arrived from the snow and freezing weather.

However, the Cabo weather has been a dream for almost everyone arriving from destinations throughout most of the U.S. The wind, though a bit stronger at times, didn’t prevent the boats from going out or the fish from biting. 👏🏻🤩

CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY FOR PISCES ANGLERS! 🎄😍

Our fishing trips this week have been incredibly successful, with a catch rate of 95%. This means that almost every trip resulted in a rewarding catch. The combined species catch rate is as follows: 73.19% for Billfish, 14.49% for Dorado, 27.54% for Tuna, and 17.39% for Wahoo and Other species.

Nowhere in Baja has sportfishing remained as consistent as in Cabo this year. The fishing is phenomenal, and it is already December. The weather is in the 70s to low 80s – the skies are clear, and the seas are calm. The wind is breezy, 5 to 10 knots. The water has remained around 75 to 79 degrees, and the waves are a lazy 5 to 8 feet this week. Where are you anglers from cold, wet, snowy states? Some AMAZING fisherWOMEN in Cabo with Pisces this week ❤️‍🔥

An INCREDIBLE catch by ten year Kourtney who landed this 200 POUND YELLOWFIN in only 45 mins on 30 # test (60 # leader). Her family aboard also caught another 3 Yellowfin Thai day aboard Pisces 37’ BBII ranging in the 80 to 170 lbs range.

Saturday our lady angler aboard Pisces 28’ Adriana landed this beautiful Wahoo close to 40 lbs and released 2 Striped Marlin plus Thresher Shark.

And how about this 120 pound Yellowfin aboard Pisces 66’ Friday Bank!? Incredible catches from everyone out this week, but the ladies are really kickin’ some butt!

Tuna catches are HOT right now, and still seeing some nice Wahoo plus the Marlin bite turned up big over the weekend with the best day so far this week aboard Pisces 42’ Yahoo - with 16 Marlin Released!

Others like 31’ Rebecca and 46’ La Chingona released up to 10 Striped Marlin each!

CABO FALL FISHING…EXTRAORDINARY! 🔥🙌🏻🤩

Throughout November, the air temperature has hovered between 75 and 80, and the water temperature has refused to drop more than a few degrees. It has stayed between the 75 to 79-degree range, and the warm-water fish have enjoyed every moment of frolicking in it. Some of the cooler-water fish that came through and haven’t stuck around have been snapper, pargo, cabrilla, Sierra, amberjack, and even some yellowtail. However, boats are still getting Striped and Blue Marlin, Dorado, Wahoo, and Yellowfin.

It began with clear, calm skies, and the warmer air in the mid to high-80s a couple of weeks ago dropped to the low to high-70s this week, although the water temperatures insist on staying around the mid-80s. What do you think of that? Anglers continue to arrive in Cabo to escape the cold rain and snow from their home states, finding solace in the warm water of Baja that the fish haven’t wanted to leave yet.

Amazing Yellowfin Catches for the whole fleet with fish over 100-150 pounds caught daily! Still a good Wahoo bite too and Striped Marlin numbers starting to pick up! Some boat releasing upwards of 6 Striped Marlin each.

Blue Marlin still trickling through and an almost 600 pounder caught Yesterday on Pisces 60’ Happy Ending as well!

The Winners of the Cabo Tuna Jackpot 💥

An epic year for tournament season in Cabo, with the Largest Tuna Tournament in the world closing out the big action for the year and awarding $1.3 Million USD for two days of fishing!

The Big winners were Team Primetime, who took 1st Place Overall and all of Day One Jackpots, for their 220.30 pound Yellowfin earning them $520,150 USD! Primetime on a good one after also winning 4th Place Overall & Jackpots on Day 2 at the Bisbee’s Black & Blue which earned them $1,148,400 USD.

Second place overall and winner of All Day 2 Jackpots Team Let’s Go took home $471,400 USD for their 209.95 pounder.

Cabo Tuna Jackpot Supports Smiles International Foundation and so it was very nice to see the 1st & 2nd Place teams donate part of their winnings to the foundation. The tournament fundraised a total of $13,000 USD from their start boat tickets and raffles, but then team Let’s Go announced they would match the money raised and when Team Primetime took the stage they too vouched to share their winnings as well and a total of $50,000 USD was finally raised for Smiles! A big congrats to both teams and a huge thank you on behalf of the children of Los Cabo’s benefitted by these surgeries 🙏

Third Place Tuna Team Love & Luck with their 203.55 lbs Yellowfin, beating Team Crudo by only 0.40 pounds !! Third Overall winning $3,250USD.

Another epic win at this tourney was Team Negotiator with a last minute, end of the day win in the Dorado & Wahoo $3,000 USD category. They had the last wahoo and dorado to be weighed on Day 2 and took both categories! Winning 76,800USD.

SUPER SIZED WAHOO ARRIVE! 🔥👏🏻

On Friday, November 1st, the “LA BRISA,” a 31-foot Bertram with Captain Bruce and Mate Jesus Winkler, had the pleasure of hosting Isabel and James Boehmer. They set off to the Los Arcos Bank where they reeled in a magnificent 81-pound Wahoo on bait and two five or 6-pound Dorado on red lures. Despite the modest number of fish, the excitement of the catch was undeniable. The couple, who had never tasted Wahoo, were eager to savor their fresh catch.

BILLFISH, YELLOWFIN, WHAT A RUSH! 🔥🤩

Friday, October 25, through Thursday, October 31, 2024, the skies were clear, and the seas were calm, with waves no more than six feet high. Water and air temperatures continued to range around 80 to 86 degrees. However, most days, the North Wind began to blow. It blew 27 knots one day to show it had arrived as expected. However, it didn’t interfere with the fishing. If anything, it made the fish angry, and they just came to the surface ready for battle! 🎣👏🏻
