Why do we (Mexican People) have to make everything spicy?
The chile is a symbol of national identity, culture and tradition. And no wonder: we live in a region where it is estimated that there are 100 different types of chile.
According to the article “Chilli, the spice of the New World” published in the magazine Ciencias, from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the chili is a cultural constant in all Mesoamerican people, because it could have been the first domesticated species in Mesoamerica, even preceding corn and beans.

My wife and I did this tour on a port day during a cruise. Carlos was our guide and he was excellent. We visited two small taco stands and two restaurants where we sampled four different types of tacos. We had beef, fish, chicken mole and pork along with chips and salsa at two of the locations. All of the tacos were really good. We finished the tour with a freshly made gordita filled with Hershey’s chocolate. It was really good. Overall this tour was fun, tasty and well worth the money. We will do it again next time we are in Ensenada.
