And you thought you'd seen everything

And you thought you'd seen everything And You Thought You'd Seen Everything...! Even now the very word Mexico seems exotic to me. It is now twenty years later and I'm still on "vacation". helene kahn

One cold and snowy day in Michigan our fourth grade geography class began a chapter on Mexico and it was the beginning, for me, of a lifelong love affair with this magical country. I came to San Miguel for what I thought was going to be a one year vacation and to get Mexico "out of my system". About nineteen years ago I started my tour business based on the philosophy of wanting everyone to know,

appreciate and love Mexico as I do. I think I've been very successful in doing just that based on what my clients tell me after taking a tour with me. My tours are mainly in the States of Guanajuato, Michoacán, Querétaro and Jalisco. Many of my tours can be especially focused for people that are collectors of folk art, photographers or those that are fascinated with history and architecture. However all tours touch on most of these subjects. I'm always interested in what my clients most want to see and do and the tours start from there, however, Mexico is full of surprises and I'm always open to sharing them. You can be sure that I know where all the best bathrooms, bakeries and restaurants are located...What more could you possible want of a tour guide? For client comments please look at TripAdvisor.
¡Gracias!

Allison and Jordan, Chicago, Ill...and if ever two people were meant for each other its these two! We had a great time eating our way through Guanajuato and the Santa Rosa mountains. Did a Mezcal tasting, tried a few bakeries and ended up with ice cream in Dolores Hidalgo. I hope to see you here again and bring those appetites. This photo was taken in front of San Miguel's first Pemex station.

On a tour of Guanajuato and Dolores Hidalgo with Sarah and Will from Portland, ME. and their drone! We stopped on the highway after leaving Guanajuato to get some videos of the town from up high. Later further in the mountains we stopped again for photos of a beautiful valley that I'm never able to really see as I've got my eyes on the road. I fell in love with the drone...it was like a character out of Star Wars and now I want me own and would love to take it to Bernal to look at the monolith from all sides. Thanks Sarah and Will for an eye-opening trip. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

On a wall in my bedroom are many masks all minding their own business except for you know who! Within the past two to three weeks he’s acting up. I straighten him and he’s good awhile and then at night I walk into my bedroom and he’s freaking me out.

This morning I was on my way to Buen Cafe, on San Jorge, to pick up some of their great Mac and Cheese when I came across these two murals. The bicycle mural has been finished but the other mural that is just around the corner is a work in progress. I'll have to go back next week to see the finished mural. In the meantime San Miguel is feeling and looking very good...time for everyone to think about a visit.
