The grey triggerfish is a demersal species and feeds on bottom-dwelling invertebrates such as shrimps, crabs, molluscs, sea urchins, sand dollars, starfish and sea cucumbers. It has strong teeth specialised for making holes in hard-shelled prey.

Juvenile Spotted drumfish

The Spotted Drum or Equetus punctatus is a species of marine fish belonging to the Sciaenidae or Drumfish family. This family is named for the low resonance noise they emit that sounds like the beating of a drum. This noise is made when the fish beat their abdominal muscle against their swim bladder. It is hypothesized that this is used as a tactic to attract a mate for spawning purposes.

One of the best seasons to dive in the island is about to end . Eagle Ray season !! We are going to miss their spectacle of big groups, but now and then we still can find some residents that remain the whole year in our beautiful reefs.
