Then you will follow the guide in the lead buggy on the "cross island" road to the east side of Cozumel. Enjoy a drive along Cozumel's eastern coastline for breath taking views and plenty photo opportunities, including a brief stop by El Pescador, located at Chen Rio area, a beautiful pristine and secluded white sand beach. Work on your tan, wade in the water, enjoy the fact you are on vacation! Food and beverages may be purchased if you would like. Then the group will continue along the beautiful coastline and around the southernmost end before arriving at first settlement on the island, El Cedral. This small but significant site was also an ancient Mayan ceremonial center and has links back to the Caste War. You will visit the tiny Mayan ruins, the first church in Cozumel and see the house of Don Casimiro Cardenas, one of the first inhabitants of El Cedral.
