Fun fact:
According to Mayan beliefs, there are small beings known as Aluxes, who have the mission of protecting the jungle and the cenotes. It is said that before entering a Dz'onot, a Mayan word that means water cavern, you must make a kind of prayer, asking for permission to swim in these sacred waters.

Mayan underworld, where the freshwater of the rain flows thru, until reaching the Caribbean sea.

Arya floats quietly through a semi-flooded section of Dos Pisos. This cave is just south of Tulum. My favorite part is the "roots" room, a shallow chamber of the cave featuring surface reflections and pillars of thick tree roots. The entire right wall of this image is roots, pushing through the rock from the forest above.

Over the last week, I had the opportunity to demo some new video lights, the 18XR 20,000lm CRI86 video lights. They are so much stronger than my normal shooting lights, that I could really back off and do more wide angle work. It was so much fun to try something different!

A rare alignment of Saturn & Jupiter in the sky that has not been seen in 800 years (known as the Great Conjunction or Christmas Star) will happen on 12.21.2020. But you don't have to wait until December 21st to view the planets!! Saturn and Jupiter can be found in the evening sky right after the sun sets, every evening.

They are getting closer and closer day by day, and can be seen even more clearly through a telescope. The Geminids meteor shower is also happening this month..
