Join us on a full day Sian Ka’an Biosphere Adventure 🐢
When you’re visiting a home to thousands animals, make sure you pick a tour operator that’s responsible - no guaranteed animal sightings, no interfering with nature and educating travelers. This tour checked all the boxes ✅
Swimming through wild mangroves, we were able to spot a baby crocodile hiding in bushes, multiple stingrays and barracudas. We passed a huge group of dolphins playing around right next to our boat! Our incredible guide identified plenty of birds and told us stories about them (funniest? Frigate bird that basically inflates his red gular pouch when it’s time to impress some ladies - lucky us, it was exactly when we visited! They flew around with giant balloons stuck to their heads).
Then, as the weather conditions were perfect, we went to a magnificent coral reef and snorkelled with help of our captain. Not to destroy the fragile reef, we followed him as he pointed next animals: a lobster, two giant turtles and a nurse shark. A SHARK! 🦈
On our way back we saw a creature that’s most difficult to spot: and not one but the whole family of manatees (including a baby with a mommy 🩵).
I won’t lie if I say it was the best day in Mexico so far and what we experienced is going to stay with us forever. We were extremely lucky but also blessed with great guide and captain that made the tour even better!
