The season is at its peak at Casa Paz and I would like to share the latest review we have had from a first time guest :
Dec 22, 2022 - Jan. 7, 2023
Casa Paz could not have been a more perfect place to stay. Playa Blanca is a spectacular beach miles long where in some places the waves are turbulent and in places limpid and glassy calm. The Pueblo of Barrra de Potosi is a working fishing village bordering a lagoon with an extraordinary bird population. In the early morning you can take a short walk down the beach to rent a kayak and head out into the mangrove to fish or just watch the birds.
The house itself is beautifully designed with a master suite upstairs and two bedrooms on the ground floor - each with a bathroom. The upstairs suite has a view over the ocean of the setting sun. And one of the greatest pleasures was to wake at dawn and see the delicate shift in colors from grey to pale pink to blue as the dawn rises behind the house. Both bedrooms on the ground floor have small terraces just outside with hammocks.
The kitchen and larder are well equipped and we cooked at the house most evenings.
My family came all the way from London and despite the length of the trip, everyone - from a 10 year old girl to two 20-ish year old boys and my brother and sister in law felt that the journey had been worth every moment.
Tito and Carmen are charming and helpful and everything is kept so beautifully.
Last thing to say - the town of Zihuatanejo is a vibrant and energetic center for the local community - the central market is the best place to buy food from the local vendors - fish, meat, tamales, cheeses etc. although there is a thriving tourist industry here - the main clientele are all local.
I hope very much to be back next year!
