The takeover of the production of our long-standing suppliers and partners for pliers is undoubtedly a significant moment in the history of ELORA. It marks an important step in our corporate development and opens up exciting opportunities for the future. The decision was the result of careful analysis and strategic considerations. We are pleased to be able to carry on the 100 years of tradition and quality for our partner from the “neighborhood”.
Tracht-Odenthal was known for all kinds of pliers, from the high quality standard pliers, the high quality special pliers to pliers for the automotive, electrical and construction trades, as well as special designs. Now we continue these claims.

~Continuity and responsibility
The decision to take over the production of special pliers was not taken lightly. We have greatly appreciated our long-standing partnership with this company. The opportunity to take production into our own hands opened up the chance to strengthen our wide range of products and our ability to innovate.
Thanks to our many years of experience in the production of high quality hand tools and modern production facilities, we will continue to ensure the high quality and reliability of the pliers.

The special pliers are an important part of our assortment and they enable us to expand our product range and to meet the needs of our customers even better. This is because most of our pliers, including VDE pliers, will be manufactured in-house in the future.

Also our ratchets are made by ELORA in Germany: from blanking to galvanising. ✔️
Absolutely high-quality ELORA Chrome Vanadium 31 CrV3 / 1.2208 is used as the starting material. 🙌🏽
At the end of the production process, the ratchetbody is sandblasted, resulting in the typical ELORA matt, non-slip surface. ELORA - Into a sustainable future with our photovoltaic system!

Sustainable decisions are getting more and more important! Companies in particular can make a big difference if they consciously act sustainably. ELORA takes an important step and now produces the required electricity for tool production with the photovoltaic system to an important part itself.

The system is installed on the roof of the warehouse (with an output of 30 KW) and the roof of the production halls (with an output of 135 KW). Especially in production, it is important to noticeably reduce pollutant emissions.

But also in terms of e-mobility we continue our goals to become a more environmentally friendly company. In the future, ELORA will drive to our customers in an electric car powered by solar energy from our own photovoltaic system. On the factory premises, our employees can use our in-house charging station to refuel their climate-friendly e-car and save CO2.

But there will be further steps to follow. For example, with the support of an energy consultancy, a heat pump is also to be installed in the near future – specifically for the electroplating.

We are pleased that ELORA premium quality tools will soon mean: Sustainable & climate-friendly – Made in Germany!

Requirements for the label “Made in Germany”

In order for a product to be awarded the “Made in Germany” label, the decisive manufacturing, final assembly and value-added share of at least 45 % must take place in Germany.
The value chain says that development, design, production, final assembly and quality assurance must take place in Germany.
However, individual parts may be purchased abroad or their production may be relocated abroad.
In this case, it is only important that the value-based services, meaning the services that characterize the product’s features, continue to take place in Germany.

E and RA stand for Erich Rauch, who founded the company in 1924. LO for the district Lüttringhausen in today's Remscheid, the birthplace of ELORA. Since the Ü cannot be translated into English, Erich Rauch decided to use ELORA at that time. Good to know, isn't it? 😊
