– A tiny and very shy bird that is difficult to get a good view of or photograph. Based on my sightings across Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, and Sumatra, both Sumatra and Borneo offer slightly better chances of seeing this bird clearly. However, Sumatra seems to be the best place for capturing good photos. Without a doubt, the bird stayed long enough for me—even allowing me to record a video!
- 一只体型小且非常害羞的鸟，很难清晰观察或拍摄。根据我在马来西亚半岛、婆罗洲和苏门答腊的观察记录，婆罗洲和苏门答腊的鸟更容易清晰看到。然而，苏门答腊似乎是拍摄好照片的最佳地点。毫无疑问，这只鸟停留了足够长的时间让我拍摄，甚至还让我录了视频！

– a very common lowland forest, mangrove, sub-montane woodpecker. Overall rufous which difficult to miss this bird.
– it is a special out to test the R1, may be I am already start use the “Pre-capture” long ago .. (those Olympus old time, Panasonic etc) for me to captured this kind of “trap focus” “jumping” picture is very easy … now Canon finally come with proper Pre-capture and improve it with … “continous Pre-capture” ..mean it is almost every half-press is a pre capture .. as long as control well the buffer… I hope I can find a better way to share to all of this about this “Best feature” to have for Wildlife Photography
– 这鸟蛮普通几乎在红树林，低海拔，中海拔森林都容易看到。棕色的鸟不难错过。
– 在这几天，我是在想办法记录下“我想大家知道R1 的强大”。。。其中一环是“预拍”。这功能在很久以前我一开始用，在Olympus, Panasonic 可能在10年前就开始有这个很好的功能。有这功能后，拍摄“陷阱对焦”的“起飞跳”降落“ 几乎都没难读。可是这次，佳能的是绝对加强版的“预拍”。。。之前我们拍后都要等上好几秒相机才可以继续使用。可是这次，佳能的是“连续预拍”只要控制好。几乎每一刻都是预拍的。（可是卡可是要大大的，不然很快就卡满）。。还在努力中要怎么呈现我想表达。

– a small size montane bird that quite normal, it is common across North Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo. A female with grey and male with black top.
– when we walking back to the vehicle, saw few small birds moving along the roadside. This female stay long after got caterpillar

– a not so common owl found Malaysia. Big size and with very vocal if found the correct one.
– I am making some nearby forest for trying the new CANON R1 to trying for AF lock on, AF tracking, Image Quality, Pre-capture … and trying again the in camera upscale. Found this bird roost at one of the Palm Oil plantation before strong sunlight come in, the bird sudden flying out to its’ roosting side.the R1 as expected captured most of the frame without any issue even with background change.
***stay tune for more CANON R1 sharing picture. Anyone has question regard the R1 please let me know I will test or answer you ASAP
– 一直马来西亚不很容易见到的大鸮。通常叫的很厉害。
– 这个月，开始要测试佳能的新相机（R1）上个月已测试了工程机。（其实没太多问题除了开不到RAW档）。其实，不知道还需要测试什么。R3的对焦对我来讲已几乎没错过任何的雨林情况。可是，还是抱有蛮多希望增强一些我真的需要的。对焦，追焦，画质 应该大致都是很好。我对“预拍”（这个应该是佳能的卖点），只要控制缓冲好。这个预拍是一只都预拍，不像其他牌子。用了后，都要等上好几秒。在到达第一个点，找到这鸟在黑暗处站。等到光线好点时，拍下蛮多照片。可是这鸟突然飞出来，一直到远处（去睡觉了）。真如我的想法一样，这种情况。没错过任何一刻。

– a big yellow and “big beak” Kingfisher, it does look slight different from Peninsular Malaysia/Thailand/India
– 3 years ago, I am testing R3 at Kuala Selangor with this bird flying and managed to have good result. Now, finally the high megapixel R5markii finally also come with good focusing system. The bird dive into pond without any notice and without any fish it flying back to nearby perch. I didnt prepare for any dive shots but managed to get the bird focus almost immediate I point my camera to the bird.
– 蛮大的黄色翡翠。婆罗洲的与西马，泰国的有点不一样。

– a tiny winter migration bird here, male with blue (breeding plumage) body and tail … sometime got confuse with female when non breeding plumage
– so fast, it is back again with beautiful plumage ..
