We help mommies to produce breastmilk in our centres. Breastmilk are essential for babies to consume especially when we are focusing on the babies growth, development and health.
1️⃣ Nutritional Value
Breast milk provides the perfect balance of nutrients to support a baby’s growth and development. It contains all the necessary vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants needed for a baby’s growth, as well as healthy fats and proteins that aid in brain development.
2️⃣ Immune Protection
Breast milk contains antibodies and other immune-boosting substances that help protect the baby from infections and illnesses. The antibodies in breast milk change according to the mother’s exposure to germs and pathogens, which helps to tailor the baby’s immune system to the specific environment in which they live.
3️⃣ Bonding
Producing and breastfeeding your baby can also help create a strong emotional bond between mother and child. The act of breastfeeding releases hormones that promote feelings of love and affection, and the close physical contact helps to reinforce the bond between mother and child.

Whilst mommies get the maximum rejuvenation much needed after birthing and during their 28 days.
It is common among mommies to give up breastfeeding after an average of 6 to 8 months because of
✅ painful, sore and cracked nipples from constant latching and milk pumping especially when babies trying to adjust and finding right positions to latch on
✅ Inconvenient and flexibility when back to work (though with working from home ease mommies’ burden a little)
✅ Insufficient milk from mommies’ breasts due to several “breastmilk ducts” are block causing babies to start nibble around the areola causing much discomfort and eventually mommies start giving up
✨ Prevention
To prevent such occurrences, all nurses in @the_moment_postnatal_care are well equip with ways to handle and train babies the ways to “suck nipples & consume breastmilk” to minimise the pain for mommies and easing the process of latching.

Chinese pulse diagnosis is a traditional method of diagnosis used in Chinese medicine and can be used to help postpartum mothers.
@the_moment_postnatal_care , we have an in-house TCM expert to support mommies with a chinese pulse diagnosis.
The benefits of the chinese pulse diagnosis are :-
1️⃣ Identifying any imbalances or deficiencies in the body that may be affecting the mother’s recovery. For example, a practitioner may use pulse diagnosis to identify a deficiency in Qi or blood, which may be contributing to fatigue or weakness. Once identified, the practitioner can use acupuncture, herbal medicine, or other forms of Chinese medicine to help restore balance and improve the mother’s overall health and recovery.
2️⃣ Gather information of overall health and Qi in the body. It involves taking the pulse at various positions on the wrist in order to gather information about the body’s internal organs and the overall balance of Qi, or vital energy, in the body. We believe that the pulse can reveal information about a person’s overall health, including the presence of any imbalances or diseases. This information can then be used to create a treatment plan using acupuncture, herbal medicine, or other forms of Chinese medicine.

Our babies are swaddled daily in our centre. Here’s why we do it :-
1️⃣ Improved sleep
Swaddling creates a womb-like environment, which makes babies feel secure and helps them sleep better. It also prevents the startle reflex, which can wake up a baby.
2️⃣ Reduced crying
Swaddling can help reduce crying by providing a sense of security and comfort to the baby. It also helps to soothe babies with colic or fussiness.
3️⃣ Reduced risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
When swaddled correctly, babies are placed on their backs, which is the safest position for sleep and can reduce the risk of SIDS.
Regulated body temperature: Swaddling can help regulate a baby’s body temperature, keeping them warm and comfortable.
Eases the transition from womb to world: Swaddling mimics the feeling of being in the womb, which can help babies feel more comfortable and calm during the transition to the outside world.
