You certainly won’t be alone this Halloween weekend at James Lee’s screening of the third installment of 3 DOORS OF HORROR, an anthology of three short films by three filmmakers.
The three films are:
Phyu Phyu, a 15-minute Malay film directed by Ving Lee about a security guard who bumps into two suspicious men while patrolling an industrial zone late. The chills begin when he finds the spirit of a lost Rohingya girl named Phyu Phyu…
1, 2, 3 is Zeacth Liew’s 15-minute Cantonese film that revolves around Mako, a high school student who was inspired by a horror novel to start a children’s game, conjuring up a spirit in the process. She seeks the help of Hui Ting, the author of the novel, to help her win and end the game.
Stay With Me is Kenny Gan’s 12-minute Mandarin film about Ann, a struggling painter, finally being invited to had an exhibition to London. But the secret to her successful paintings come with a price, she's being help by Molly, a child ghost who had been trapped in the apartment Ann is living.
There will be a director’s talk after Saturday night’s screening. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
