// Heritage Meets Design: SUS Academy Students Explore Johor Bahru’s Roots //

On a sunny Sunday morning, SUS Academy’s final-year students embarked on a transformative Heritage Walk through downtown Johor Bahru, guided by Miss Peggy Loh, best-selling author of the "My Johor Stories" trilogy.

Over four insightful hours, students delved into the city’s rich history, learning about the pepper and gambier trade that laid the foundation for modern Johor Bahru, and the cultural significance of the 24-festive drums that resonate with its identity today. Another standout highlight was JB’s Street of Harmony, a testament to the peaceful coexistence of diverse cultural and religious communities who have made Johor their home. These stories offered invaluable perspectives for their “City Branding” projects, bridging history, culture, and design in meaningful ways.

Adding a global flair to the group, the walk was joined by a visiting couple from Hong Kong and Singapore’s Consul-General’s family, sparking diverse conversations about city heritage and cultural tapestry.

本院S.U.S 设计学院创于2004年至今已有15周年，是南马历史悠久的一所专业平面与多媒体设计学院。 S.U.S创校至今15年里，是南马专业平面与多媒体设计学院的佼佼者，口碑颇佳。 更是第一间在设计领域里提供平面设计与多媒体设计元素结合的课程，让甚多学生更全面接触及掌握设计技能，并且提高各个方面的素质及潜能，增加无数的就业机会及发展方向。 学院是以教育为本质，落实教育理念，无需文凭（包括无SPM者)，无基础学生，也可报读，平价学费，专业课程。 导师教学经验丰富，具实战经验，平易近人，善于沟通，与学生关系友好。 与商界关系密切，结业就业率100%, 学生见证多，遍布海内外，如吉隆坡，新加坡，纽澳等地。 毕业后可升学至新加坡合作学院再修读3个月，获取新加坡合作院的Adv Diploma in Multimedia。 院校地理位置优越，位于新山市中心 Landmark 大厦的31楼，拥有全新山市中心视野的景象，与五星级酒店Hilton Double Tree相连，附近有新马关卡，大型时尚购物广场，博览中心。提供企业实习机会，导师团拥有强大设计平台支援，灌输创业精神。提供奖贷学金，鼓励学生敢于追求求学梦想。 新加坡 [ 平面设计+多媒体设计课程 ] 两年6个月专业文凭（FULL TIME） 我院提供全面化训练, 课程包括基本的技巧绘画、色彩学、模型制作、字体学、视觉设计、包装设计、广告创意、企业形象设计企划、摄影、录影剪辑、后期特效制作、2D及3D动画、网页与动画设计、电玩，与互动设计等。有意继续深学者，结业后可转新加坡合作学院再修读3个月，可获取新加坡合作院的Adv Diploma in Multimedia。再或是海外留学，2~3年，修大学学位。
