We are located on the Perhentian Islands Malaysia on both the small island (Long Beach) & the big island (Mama's) of Perhentians. We hope the monsoon has conditioned the reefs. During the beginning of the season the reefs are abundant with fish seeking shelter from the monsoon. We thank you for waiting. For some it has been a long time since your last dive with us. In Early February this year th
e sea conditions were very rough as a result of the tail end of the lingering north-east monsoon. It comes later every year, Dive conditions should be good by mid March this year. A late start to the Dive season and good conditions will ensure a fairly good season . No particular month has the best condition for diving, but July and August are the busiest months. Dive conditions are fairly good till end of November as the north-east monsoon has been delayed over recent years and will start by end December this year. COVID-19 pandemic has made us focus on enhanced Diver safety, to ensure minimal cross infection and risk of unwanted exposure. We have in place a SOP starting with daily temperature monitoring. We have reduced the number of divers in our diving groups and have allocated each diver and student with the with a complete set of disinfected equipment to use for the whole period of their diving experience with us. Each set of dive equipment is isolated and disinfected separately. We would encourage you to have your own basic equipment such as: mask, wetsuit / rash guards, fins and personal dive computer or dive watch. Bcd’s, regulators, dive computers and cameras are available at the dive center. The water temperature is consistently warm 30`C so wetsuits are not essential. A 3mm shortie or rash vest with board shorts will provide sufficient comfort. We appreciate your help protecting the reefs from diver damage by maintaining good buoyancy during the dive. Our team is eager to help you in managing areas such as proper weighting, finning technique, proper balance to get the most pleasure from your diving experience. For some who may need it we recommend the PADI peak performance Buoyancy, this skill will compound the application of your dive skills to give you confidence, good balance, better breathing control, better Air consumption and eventually a better overall dive experience.
